00:01Previously on Project Runway...
00:03Congratulations!
00:04The three of you are going to Fashion Week.
00:10You're probably wondering, where is Carol Hanna?
00:12Yeah, we've been waiting for her.
00:14Poor thing is sick.
00:15I don't feel great.
00:17I think there's a little bit of, oh, she made it.
00:20You have one more look to create.
00:22We do have help for you guys.
00:25So we get back to the hotel, and I just feel horrible.
00:32I just want to, like, crawl into the corner and die.
00:38This is Project Runway.
00:40The winner of Project Runway will receive a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine,
00:44a Paris vacation courtesy of Avion,
00:47and $100,000 from L'Oreal Paris to start their own life.
00:55We have a look at the hall and see how she works.
01:00Carol Hanna got really sick last night.
01:02Really? Why?
01:04Just being nauseous is the same thing she's been having.
01:09I feel the same as I did last night.
01:12This is a really critical point, and there's a lot of work ahead.
01:16And if I'm lying with my head in the toilet, that's not very helpful.
01:20Hi, Lady.
01:21I kind of really do feel for her,
01:23but there's really nothing I could do to help her.
01:28It's really overwhelming.
01:29If I continue to feel like this,
01:31this is not going to be a good day.
01:33I'm definitely impressed and proud of Carole Hanna.
01:52A lot of people definitely couldn't handle the pressure
01:55that we're under right now.
01:59Oh, it's sick.
02:01It feels so good.
02:02I think that she's done a great job on her collection,
02:04and being ill is not fun anywhere,
02:07let alone being here under the pressure that we are.
02:12We really need to finish everything today.
02:14I know, and tomorrow has to be just like touch-up, fixed-up.
02:17Irina is under so much stress,
02:19and she has so much to think about,
02:21so she's not 100% cool as she normally is.
02:25I won't quit on you, I promise.
02:27Thank you, Jordan. I'm counting on you.
02:29You know what, actually, though?
02:32I'd like to show off this scene, if possible,
02:34so it doesn't cover that up.
02:49I feel awful.
02:50There's so much to do.
02:52It's not how this is supposed to go.
02:57I'm happy that I'm there,
02:59because I can be there to kind of comfort her for a moment,
03:02but then get back to being her tailor and finisher
03:07and get this stuff done.
03:09I don't know.
03:10Well, I'm here to do everything that you need,
03:12that I can do.
03:13All right, guys, do you guys want to head
03:15to get our hair and makeup consultations done?
03:19I think it's time to go.
03:23I'm going to keep plugging away.
03:25Mm-hmm.
03:39It's sort of armor, but I have a lot of these felt hats
03:42that look like helmets,
03:43so I really want to work on the eye.
03:45Uh-huh.
03:46And, of course, we'll smudge this with dark shadow.
03:51Not like a very clean glamour.
03:52It's a little more dirty edge.
03:54It's not glamorous.
03:54Almost like smudge.
03:56I know that I want soft and pretty.
04:01Tell me a little bit about your collection.
04:03Okay.
04:04It's based partly on gothic architecture and fairy tales.
04:08Oh.
04:09They should all have ponytails sharply cut.
04:12I would use something that's going to make this
04:14really sleek and shiny.
04:16I want all the models to look like
04:17almost like clones of each other,
04:18but still have that youngness and that sort of sex appeal.
04:22Yeah, I think we're definitely on the same page.
04:24Okay, cool.
04:25I'm excited.
04:31Hey.
04:32I'm a little nervous.
04:33For the model fittings today,
04:35because they're always kind of stressful.
04:37Okay, Hannah, what do you think about this one?
04:39I'm going to take a picture of it.
04:39Oh, cute.
04:41It fits nice.
04:42I know right now it looks crazy,
04:43but it's all figured out in my dome.
04:45It's right there that's the issue.
04:46The fitting of the models is extremely important to me
04:50because so much about my clothes is fit.
04:52I really can't leave any room for error with that.
04:55Yeah, that other one looks, doesn't,
04:57this doesn't look as good.
04:58Yeah, this is better.
04:59See, I don't like this.
05:00I like this side.
05:01It should be straight.
05:02All these curves and all these things,
05:03it just needs to hit at a certain point.
05:05Otherwise, it just gets distorted.
05:07They fit?
05:08Yeah.
05:08Okay.
05:09Oh, they're cute with that.
05:09Yeah, it's cute with that, right?
05:10That's really good.
05:11The fittings are going great.
05:12Every single piece seems to have a girl
05:15that is, like, just perfect for it.
05:18Hi, everybody.
05:19I'm here to check in on your progress.
05:22I mean, looking at the 13th look.
05:23I'd love to look at the 13th look.
05:25So this is it.
05:26It's still a work in progress.
05:28You know, it's just really, you know, what am I missing, really?
05:31Yeah.
05:31I mean, frankly, I think it's beautiful.
05:34Watch the proportions of the top.
05:38Does that go under the chin?
05:40Yeah.
05:41I just want you to be careful that it doesn't make everything look too costumey.
05:45And what are you doing with the makeup?
05:46I kind of want to do this very, like, almost muddy, dark, dusty eye.
05:52All right.
05:52Go, go, go.
05:54So, Althea, Logan.
05:55Hey.
05:56How are things?
05:57I don't know.
05:58I'm just getting, it's like two days before fashion week, and I think I'm just getting
06:01the nerves.
06:02Well, of course, everybody.
06:03Even I am.
06:04All right.
06:05Yeah.
06:06This is our 13th look.
06:07You know, I think this was a good look to just enhance the collection.
06:11I mean, the only thing I'll say about this exaggerated shoulder is this little 80s.
06:15I don't know.
06:16I just feel like that extra shape will add sort of some more drama to everything.
06:20I'm really excited about the makeup because for the makeup, it's going to be a bit messy
06:25and...
06:26Messy?
06:27Well, like, she slept on it for a day.
06:29That sounds like what Irina was telling me.
06:31Well, I hope that's...
06:33Yes?
06:34I don't know.
06:35I mean, I don't know.
06:37Sounds very similar.
06:38I just don't want it to look as though all the girls all came out of the same...
06:41Factory.
06:42Yeah.
06:43Exactly.
06:44The same factory.
06:45That's healthy.
06:46This will resolve itself.
06:47All right?
06:48Yeah.
06:49All right.
06:50Anything else you're concerned about?
06:55I was getting overwhelmed.
06:56No, I understand.
06:57You're fragile right now, but you also have a trajectory.
07:01This is a make it work moment.
07:03Yeah, definitely.
07:04And that's what you need to do.
07:05Hang in there.
07:06Okay.
07:07All right.
07:09Carol Hannah.
07:10Hello.
07:11I hear you've had a relapse.
07:13I have, indeed.
07:14Um...
07:15How are you feeling now?
07:16I feel okay-ish.
07:18Just okay-ish.
07:19Yeah.
07:20I think I haven't had enough rest.
07:21I think, like, not stopping.
07:22Well, you're not going to for the next two days.
07:23I know, it's just not going to happen.
07:24That's how it is.
07:25Let me tell you.
07:26That's how it is.
07:27All right.
07:28So this is the 13th look.
07:29This is the 13th look.
07:30Um...
07:31Talk to me.
07:32I wanted this color to be more prominent throughout, and now I feel like it's...
07:36It is.
07:37It is.
07:38So rather than just kind of an accent, it's more of a focal point.
07:42I know there's a ton to do, but you're going to have to be scattershot all over the place.
07:47Okay.
07:48And that's why it's good that there are two of you.
07:51Okay?
07:52Designers, I want you to know that you have until midnight tonight, and tomorrow you have
07:58until 5 p.m.
08:00Work hard.
08:01Get some rest.
08:24Palhana, you're feeling better?
08:26Yeah, I am.
08:27I'm trying not to think about how I feel physically.
08:31Trying to do a mind over matter and just power through it and get done.
08:35I don't feel like I'm willing to die.
08:37So we're all good?
08:38Yeah.
08:47This morning I feel like I just really have to work extremely fast.
08:57I think I can get everything done that I need to.
09:00I'm hoping.
09:0120 more minutes on that dress and then we're done.
09:03I normally don't pin it because it takes like twice as long.
09:06I want to finish as much as I can of the last look.
09:11Oh.
09:12Wow.
09:13Hey, everybody.
09:14Hi, girl.
09:15How are you?
09:16Good.
09:17How are you?
09:18How are you?
09:23It's a super important decision what I'm going to put Kayla in because that's the look that's
09:27going to be standing in front of the judges for a while while they deliberate and come to decisions.
09:32It's really cool.
09:33With the 13th look in play, I thought why not just make it really fun and have her in the 13th look.
09:40I'm so excited.
09:42Okay, I need to think for a minute.
09:47Uh-oh.
09:48Does this one have shoes?
09:49Sure it is.
09:50This is done other than the shoes.
09:52I know you saw me walking with Kofi, but I'm working, believe me.
09:58No, I know you are.
09:59I'm just saying.
10:00Everything else I have is the tweaks, the zippers, the hems.
10:03I just really have to work extremely fast.
10:09Hey, Lequan.
10:10What are the straps that we were going to add to the back of this?
10:12I thought they were still pinned to it.
10:13Okay, I'll look for them.
10:14The jersey gown we're working on.
10:16How's the pant?
10:17Good.
10:18Done.
10:19Check.
10:20Sweet.
10:21Coming up on Project Runway.
10:26You done?
10:27Here, I'll do this.
10:28Go.
10:29Jordana, we have like literally no time left.
10:30It's just insanity.
10:37It's definitely a relief to finally start feeling better.
10:40I'm really glad that I have so much more energy today because I'm going to need it.
10:43You should go get a bite.
10:44I can't eat right now.
10:45Maybe I'll take the jacket on.
10:47No lunch breaks.
10:48No bathroom breaks.
10:49Whatever you have to do to get done.
10:50I just got to get it done.
10:51I just got to get it done.
10:55Irina, Carol Hannah, Althea.
10:58It's our last little gather round, guys.
11:01Can you believe what's going to happen to you all?
11:03You're going to Bryant Park.
11:05You have until 5 o'clock to finish everything up, and then you work to go to the Grand Hyatt New York.
11:11I know you're totally preoccupied, but stop talking. We have work to do.
11:17Bye.
11:18See you later.
11:19You're done?
11:20Here.
11:21I'll do this.
11:22I'll do this.
11:23Go.
11:24Can you go package whatever is ready to be packaged?
11:27Jordan, we have like literally no time left.
11:29How much longer do you have on that guy?
11:30Annika is like seriously falling apart.
11:31I put the sandals in the bag with the...
11:32Okay.
11:33Take all the hats, all the gloves, all the feathers, put them all in one bag because I'm taking that with me.
11:45I'm nervous.
11:46Maybe I missed something or overlooked something by accident.
11:49So I'm hoping that doesn't happen because I don't want any last minute surprises.
11:54I forgot to do something.
11:55I was supposed to take this in a little bit.
11:57There's definitely a lot of pressure right now because if you forget one thing, it can be disastrous.
12:16It's really early.
12:24We have to get up very early to kind of get all the models prepped and the outfits prepped before the show.
12:30How are you?
12:31Good.
12:32I'm excited.
12:33Gosh, what a big day.
12:35Showing in New York Fashion Week, it's a really big deal.
12:39I really cannot wait.
12:40Are you excited?
12:41Yeah.
12:42I'm getting really nervous.
12:44I definitely have every emotion I could possibly think of.
12:48I mean, today is basically what, you know, this whole thing is about.
12:53You guys ready?
12:54Yeah, let's go.
12:55Yeah, let's go.
12:56Yeah, let's go.
13:01I guess not yet.
13:02I'm meant to be.
13:04Oh my God.
13:05Now let's go.
13:08Don't worry.
13:14It finally hits me that I'm showing at Bryant Park.
13:19It's actually happening.
13:27I want to see what it's like sitting in the front row.
13:28Walking into the tent, it's, to be honest, a little intimidating.
13:32How about we just sit here and let the bottles do it.
13:35All right.
13:36I'm excited.
13:37This day to me, it's somewhat surreal.
13:40You just kind of turn this switch on.
13:42Okay, let's just rock it.
13:44Hey guys, your models are starting to show up.
13:57I added a coat to her look.
13:58You did?
13:59Yeah.
14:02Hi, Rina.
14:03Yes.
14:04I am concerned that this isn't done and the other is that Kaelin's not in here in makeup yet.
14:08The color doesn't necessarily bother me as much as the shine.
14:12The shine.
14:13Yeah.
14:14Smoother?
14:15A little smoother, a little sleeker.
14:25Carol Hannah, we have 20 to 25 minutes left.
14:29I'm freaking out right now.
14:30Irina, what happened?
14:31My sister broke during the dressing and I'm just very unhappy about that.
14:35Oh, it's on back.
14:36This isn't on right.
14:37Go, hurry up.
14:38Go to hair.
14:39Go to hair.
14:40Designers.
14:41Yes?
14:42I am about to lose it.
14:44We should be lining up right now and we can't because maybe 10% of you are dressed.
14:50Tim's getting really, really frantic.
14:51That is a little unnerving because usually Tim's like the calm in the room.
14:56Things must really be in bad shape.
14:58Get your models here.
14:59Get them into their looks, please.
15:01Is there anyone that I can take at all?
15:03Right now, they have to go.
15:04I don't care anymore.
15:05I don't care anymore.
15:06This is crazy.
15:07You have one here also?
15:08Okay, great.
15:09Come on.
15:10They should all be in their looks by now.
15:11We should be lining up.
15:12The clock is now ticking backwards.
15:14We've got to go.
15:15Let's go, guys.
15:16We're going to begin.
15:17Let's go.
15:18How are you?
15:19Guys, glad to see you.
15:20This is crazy.
15:21They should all be in their looks by now.
15:22We should be lining up.
15:23Hello, everybody.
15:24Welcome to Project Runway.
15:25Today is our season six finale.
15:31The designers worked so hard to be here today, so please give them all a big applause.
15:37It comes together last moment.
15:38I'm so proud of it.
15:39And, you know, obviously I want to win, but I think you never know.
15:44I would like to introduce our judges, one of my favorite designers of all times, Michael Kors.
15:51The lovely and beautiful Nina Garcia, and Susie Menkes, thank you very much for being here.
16:17Hello, everybody.
16:19Thank you very much for being here.
16:23Let's start the show.
16:29Hello.
16:30Hi, how are you?
16:32I'm Althea.
16:34I'm really excited to show you my collection today.
16:37I honestly feel like I'm about to show you kind of like a piece of my soul.
16:42I was inspired by sci-fi movies from the 50s and 60s and how they saw the future.
16:47And so I kind of wanted to introduce what the woman of today would wear tomorrow.
16:52So thank you all so much, especially for my family, for being here.
16:57And I hope you enjoy.
17:17You know, I'm proud of myself for stepping it up.
17:30And I worked really hard to get it out there.
17:33And I feel like everything looks really clean.
17:36It moves well.
17:38I'm 100% happy with it.
17:40I would wear every single piece.
17:41And what more can you ask for?
19:25Hi.
19:27This has been a wild and crazy ride, and I just wanted to thank my family and my friends
19:33for supporting me through all of this.
19:36This collection is very near and dear to my heart, and I hope that you love it as much
19:41as I do. So, enjoy.
19:43It feels amazing to send all this
20:13work out for everybody to see, and I hope they enjoy it, because I do. Everything looks
20:18exactly the way I want it to, and I am overjoyed. This is definitely a happy moment. There's
20:25nothing in here that does not represent who I am as a designer, and I would not change
20:30one little thing.
22:11Hi, everyone. My collection is really about New York. Home is where the heart is. It's
22:16really about what it takes to survive in this city as a woman, and it's about comforting
22:21and shielding yourself and just going at it. Thank you.
22:35As I'm watching my clothes come down the runway, I'm really happy with all of them. I think
22:50my collection definitely represents me as a designer. It's always feminine and sexy, but
22:55this time around it was a lot tougher. I hope that people get it, that they see my vision
22:57and that it's apparent and it's apparent and they understand it.
25:41I was very impressed.
25:42I thought they all really put a lot of time and effort into their collections, some more
25:48than others.
25:49I thought all three had strong ideas and they all three had strengths.
25:54I think we saw variety today.
25:56I think we saw fabulous knitwear, which is unusual, and we saw great sportswear, and we saw great
26:02evening clothes and a lot of ideas.
26:04All right, let's bring out the designers.
26:06Before we start, I would like to congratulate all of you for making it this far.
26:19You really put on a great show today, and we're all very proud of you.
26:24But as you know, only one of you can be the winner of Project Runway.
26:28The winner will receive a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine, a Paris vacation, courtesy
26:37of Avian, one year of representation from designers' management agency, and $100,000 to start your
26:47online furnished by L'Oreal Paris.
26:49Your initial challenge was to design a 12-look collection for Fashion Week, and only three
26:56days ago, you know, I gave you one last surprise, one last look, the 13's look.
27:03Let's meet our judges.
27:06Top American designer, Michael Kors.
27:08Congratulations, guys.
27:09Great work.
27:11Nina Garcia, fashion director for Marie Claire magazine.
27:14Happy you guys are here.
27:15Congratulations.
27:15And our guest judge, Susie Minkus, fashion critic of the International Herald Tribune.
27:23And I'm thrilled to be here and to be part of Project Runway.
27:27Let's bring out your models.
27:42Irina, tell us about your line.
27:45I love the idea of, like, shielding to just sort of go out there in the world, because
27:50living in a city like this sometimes takes a tough woman to pull off, you know, doing
27:55what you want, living in a big city, and still, at the end of the day, be a woman and be feminine.
28:00Quite honestly, we've seen a lot of the warrior woman.
28:04Right.
28:04She's not really a new character on the scene, quite frankly.
28:10I like this idea of it all being brought together.
28:13It seemed to me very coherent, as though there was a starting point and it was really worked
28:17around in different ways.
28:19It really looked finished.
28:21It does not look like a show that is put together with $9,000.
28:24The T-shirts.
28:26Did you make those T-shirts?
28:27I did.
28:28It was very refreshing to see that, because it was like seeing you, and it was you communicating
28:33in a very intimate way.
28:35Well, I have to say, you know, I think the amount of work that went into the clothes is
28:40commendable.
28:41Hats, bags, the pleating.
28:43I have to say, I mean, I would love myself to own a lot of these pieces.
28:49I have a question.
28:50Why so much black?
28:52You know what it is?
28:54It wasn't even actually a conscious decision.
28:56It was just almost intuitive.
28:59When it is all black, sometimes you give yourself a bit of a disservice.
29:03When I saw the black piece on the screen, I'm like, oh, I wish I could see more of the
29:07metallic.
29:08Well, and imagine the effect when you shoot it for a magazine.
29:12It gets very little editorial black.
29:15We talked about this.
29:17Mm-hmm.
29:17Mm-hmm.
29:20Carol Hanna.
29:21I wanted to play with the volume in the pieces to kind of reflect those shapes, and so I'm
29:28playing with draping a lot, kind of structured draping.
29:32I loved the first look.
29:34I thought it had all of the elements that you do so well, and it was very spirited, and
29:42you work very well with these fabrics that are very difficult.
29:46I love the Grecian goddess dress.
29:49I thought that was a beautiful dress.
29:50I thought the way it was draping.
29:52I love the color.
29:53I thought that was really, that was one of my favorite ones.
29:56That was the 13th, actually.
29:59That was the extra one that you made?
30:00That was the one we did this one.
30:01You're kidding me.
30:02No.
30:02Wow.
30:03And you just winged that in the last two days?
30:06That's good.
30:08I'm intrigued to know the origins of that upturned pyramid dress.
30:12First of all, it looked really hard to do, and a clever feat to bring it off.
30:17It's definitely more of like a showpiece.
30:20It's not going to be like, oh, I'm going to go sit down and have dinner now, but...
30:23Well, I noticed it.
30:25I had a hard time seeing it as a 13-piece collection.
30:30I just felt like every time something came again, it was interesting, but it was always
30:34so different that it didn't seem cohesive to me.
30:37The connective thread.
30:38Okay.
30:39It's interesting what you brought up about the structured drapery, because I thought
30:43that that was really your strong suit.
30:45I love that mix of drapery and tailoring.
30:48I thought it was a really great way to do it.
30:51Moving on.
30:52I just, you know, got to thinking with the new political tone and all this talk of the
30:58future, I kind of wanted to give my input, but in the best way I know how, which is through
31:03clothes.
31:04I have to say bravo for seeing sportswear.
31:07You could dissemble these clothes.
31:10You could buy a piece and add it to your closet and have your own spin on it, which I think
31:16is great.
31:16I love that dash of color where you did that little green dress, the knit green dress.
31:24I loved it.
31:25I loved seeing some color.
31:27It was refreshing because everything looked very much monotone.
31:31I did love the skirt and the shiny top with the belt.
31:34I think that was one of my favorites.
31:36The way you made that skirt and the top, I think that was beautiful.
31:41There was a khaki silk pant that was cut beautifully that a million people would love to own.
31:49They were interesting and they were flattering.
31:51Well, you saw the future and I saw some great knitwear, but I'm not sure quite where that
31:58matches up with futuristic things.
32:01I feel like I did that with the chunky, the jacket, it was like in the middle of the collection
32:05with the high collar and the shoulders that kind of came out.
32:09I feel like that was a, you know, a big reference to the futuristic look.
32:14I thought the last three pieces of your collection were off.
32:19I almost thought that we had moved into another show.
32:22Perhaps you tried to hit too many notes on this collection, you know?
32:26Which one was your 13th look?
32:28The one that you just had to whip together in two days.
32:31The 13th look was actually the tan.
32:34Really?
32:34Oh, the khaki pant.
32:35Yeah.
32:36So you guys did well on your 13th look.
32:41Okay.
32:42We've heard what you had to say.
32:44We're going to have a little chat.
32:46And when we come back, one of you will be the winner of Project Runway.
32:54You can use the runway.
33:02Let's talk about Carol Hanna.
33:04I have to say, when you look at the opening dress, it is exciting.
33:08It is photographable.
33:10It has design in it.
33:12And...
33:12It has design.
33:13It has desire.
33:14It has desire, exactly.
33:15It has all of that.
33:17And it's not easy to find the garment that has all of that in it.
33:20She had perhaps the best sense of color, that teal that she's wearing herself.
33:24Yeah.
33:24And also, you know, some really beautiful color on the runway.
33:28She played with the color.
33:30She just didn't play with it enough.
33:33Exactly.
33:33But she actually played with it more than anyone else.
33:38You do see Carol Hanna, you see her point of view, and she loves dresses.
33:44And she is impeccable in her tailoring.
33:47I mean, that's what has made her get this far, because she's always been very good at that.
33:52Let's move on to Althea.
33:57What I love about Althea is that she has a sense of coolness.
34:02She can really translate what's going on in the street.
34:06She's got that connection with what is cool and is out there.
34:11I think she's very plugged in to the street.
34:14Yeah.
34:15And I think that a lot of women would respond to her clothes.
34:18I love some of her pieces.
34:20I could see them.
34:21We could shoot them.
34:22And I'm sure that Marie Claire readers would respond to them.
34:26I mean, that blue suit was fantastic.
34:29The suit was most what I thought Althea is all about.
34:34That kind of style, that's what brought her here.
34:37Um, again, it looked a little bit like an assemblage, though, of clothes.
34:42It didn't really tell a tale, I don't think.
34:47The clothes aren't shown to best advantage.
34:49I think she's a great knitwear designer and sportswear designer.
34:52But pieces, items, the great cardigan, fabulous pair of pants,
34:56these do not take well to the runway.
35:01Okay, let's move on to Irina.
35:03I thought her things looked really well made.
35:06They looked modern to me with an edge.
35:09She had, certainly, the best sense of showmanship.
35:14She knew how to punctuate it with the hats.
35:18I even loved that the one hat had the chain under the chin.
35:20I thought it was fantastic.
35:21They were all a bit different.
35:22They were all a little different, but the same,
35:25which is, again, a collection.
35:27I like the idea that it was protective clothing that started it off,
35:31the idea of armor and the helmets.
35:34And yet, it didn't seem like that the models were shrinking into the clothes,
35:38protecting themselves from something.
35:39It was a good turn of the way she'd designed the clothes.
35:42I do agree with you guys in terms of that it was a bit dark.
35:45A little bit of color would be nice.
35:47Unfortunately, let's be honest, you're like, okay, wait a minute.
35:50Half of this, I'm kind of lost.
35:53But, you know, she was smart with the T-shirts.
35:55Very smart, yeah.
35:55Because those clothes were very ominous and very serious.
36:00And then suddenly, oh, the T-shirt.
36:02It was almost like you were peeling down the layers,
36:04and it was something very intimate
36:06that on top of it had a little message.
36:08I mean, the piece that really throws me off is the gown.
36:12I don't know, it seems, do they feel obliged to end this way?
36:15You know, the way an old-fashioned show used to end with a bride.
36:22So, do we have our decision?
36:25I think so.
36:26Absolutely.
36:28Okay, let's bring out the designers.
36:34Carol Hanna.
36:55Althea.
36:58Irina.
37:00One of you will be the winner of Project Runway.
37:04In your show, you paid attention to all of the details,
37:30from accessories to hair and makeup.
37:33But, while we loved your collection,
37:35we were disappointed in your lack of color.
37:37With even a bit of color,
37:39your line really would have stood out.
37:44Althea.
37:45You have an amazing ability
37:47to translate what's happening on the street
37:50into fashion.
37:52You went for futuristic,
37:53and were not entirely convinced that you got there.
37:58But,
37:59you did give us modern staples of a new generation.
38:04Good job.
38:07Carol Hanna,
38:08you really always impress us
38:10with your execution and meticulousness.
38:13Of all the designers,
38:14you played the best with color.
38:17And we admired your collection's strength and energy.
38:22But it lacked a connective thread.
38:28Carol Hanna.
38:29Carol Hanna.
38:29I'm sorry, you're out.
38:42Thank you so much.
38:44I came to Project Runway
38:48having no clue
38:49what was going to happen.
38:51I didn't really set any expectations.
38:53You know,
38:53I just wanted to do my best
38:55and just kind of go with it.
38:56And I feel like it did really well.
38:59So,
39:00I mean,
39:00nobody gets to do this.
39:02Who gets to do this?
39:04It's crazy.
39:05It's like,
39:05simultaneously,
39:07the most bizarre
39:08and most amazing
39:09experience in my life.
39:10Irina.
39:17Althea.
39:19One of you will be the winner
39:20of Project Runway.
39:40Congratulations.
39:47Irina,
39:48you are the winner
39:49of Project Runway.
39:52Congratulations, girl.
40:04Congrats, Irina.
40:05That was spectacular.
40:06Bravo.
40:07Congratulations, Irina.
40:09You did such a great job.
40:11Congratulations.
40:15Your line was sleek,
40:17modern,
40:19cohesive,
40:20and it told a story.
40:24And you knew
40:25what kind of woman
40:26you were designing for.
40:28And you really
40:29did articulate that
40:31to all of us beautifully.
40:34Congratulations.
40:35Congratulations.
40:37Congratulations.
40:38I think everything happens
40:40for a reason,
40:41and even though I didn't win,
40:42I feel, you know,
40:43just really great
40:44because I made
40:45a lot of good friends
40:46and met a lot of great people,
40:47got a lot of great advice.
40:49Great job.
40:50So, you know, I'm feeling good
40:51because overall,
40:52everything was positive,
40:53and I may not have been,
40:54you know, the winner,
40:55but I'm still a winner.
40:56Fantastic job.
40:58And here's your model.
41:00I'm going to cry.
41:01Congratulations.
41:02Hi.
41:03How thrilling is this?
41:04I can't believe it.
41:05I'm definitely proud of myself.
41:06I think this deserves
41:07a pat on the back
41:08because I did have
41:09some stiff competition.
41:10Come on, mom and dad.
41:11Come on, mom and dad.
41:12I'm feeling good.
41:13I'm feeling good because
41:14overall, everything was positive,
41:15and I may not have been,
41:16you know, the winner,
41:17but I'm still a winner.
41:18Fantastic job.
41:20And here's your model.
41:21I can't believe it.
41:22I'm definitely proud of myself.
41:23I think this deserves
41:24a pat on the back
41:25because I did have
41:26some stiff competition.
41:27Come on, mom and dad.
41:29Don't be shy.
41:30Work that runway.
41:31Give her a big hug.
41:32Congratulations.
41:33Thank you so much.
41:35Don't cry.
41:36Congratulations.
41:37I don't think I've ever
41:39really seen my dad cry, actually.
41:41Oh, papa.
41:43I really am still sort of
41:45surprised at how touched he was.
41:47I think he finally is going
41:49to take me seriously
41:50about this whole fashion adventure
41:53that I'm on.
41:54I can't tell you how great it feels
41:56to get that approval
41:57from my father.
41:58Congratulations.
41:59Bravo.
42:01All good things take a lot
42:02of work and effort,
42:03and that's why they're great.
42:04So it was well worth it.
42:10I'm so proud of it.
42:11That's what it takes.
42:13I can't believe I'm like,
42:14a project runway winner.
42:15That's crazy.
42:17That's insane.
42:20Nice.
42:21You can't see the
42:22audio in the background.
42:23You're pretty sure.
42:24You're pretty happy.
42:25You know you,
42:26you know,
42:27you canada,
42:28you can definitely say.
42:29You can tell me,
42:30you have to do more
42:32and tell me.
42:33I'm very much different.
42:34You can tell me that
42:35you have to do more.
42:38You know,
42:39what I feel like,
42:40you know.
42:41You know I have to do more.
42:42I'm so glad that
42:43you've got to make sure
42:44that it's a good deal.
