00:00Tala, first we'll turn to you on this one. What would success even look like at these peace talks at this stage?
00:06Do either side actually even want peace to go to the table and have a chat?
00:10I'll answer the first part of your question. I think in a near perfect world, probably an immediate ceasefire just to end the fighting.
00:17We've seen that before and obviously it didn't hold up. But then when we actually go back to the last two rounds of talks,
00:23they ended up with, I don't know, a prisoner exchange, the return of the dead bodies of some soldiers.
00:31So hopefully we might see another prisoner exchange that would be successful.
00:36And then maybe the agreement to continue having conversations to end the war.
00:41But both sides, I think, are stalling. They're trying to buy more time.
00:45Ukraine is trying to strengthen its defences. Russia is trying to consolidate gains.
00:52So, yeah, let's see. I mean, Putin seems unmoved by sanctions in general.
00:57And historically we've seen that sanctions, at least in my opinion, they actually end up for an economy like Russia,
01:04ends up becoming more self-sufficient and then it just pushes it towards China.
01:08And I mean, Putin ended up like building up his relationships with different trade partners that only deepened.
01:15So I don't know. Let's see.
01:22Well literally it looks like it all, but I'm passing by.
01:27And yeah, it doesn't have to be controlled as Russia is going to fold- takim,
01:31because if there's any change or BaÅŸka's situation with the country coming outside,
01:35I mean, when would they be controlling .
01:38It's very similar to Russia. If there's a Russian regime that I wahed anAndrew我,
01:42can't get somebody into the year of Malaysia to eliminate your hearts?
