00:00But we're just talking there about what concessions Russia could maybe have in place that it could agree to in order to end the fighting.
00:09Because we spoke about land and territory, and that's probably not one of them.
00:15Well, what can't be negotiated is what is seen as having started the war, which was the coup in 2014, that is, which stripped Ukraine of its neutrality.
00:26So the main source, the main foundation of any peace agreement has to be for Ukraine to restore its neutrality.
00:33This places some strict limitations on what kind of security guarantees they will accept from NATO.
00:38And of course, after four years, they also want the territorial concessions.
00:43Now, on this, I don't think there's that much they can compromise on.
00:47Like I said, Donbass is not up for compromise.
00:51I think Saporizhia and Kershom, they're willing to stop where they are now, I think.
00:55That kind of concession they could give.
00:58The size of the Ukrainian army, they would be willing to negotiate.
01:01The extent to which the existing regime in Kiev stays, I think also possible that there's some room for negotiation.
01:10But the issue of neutrality and Donbass, I don't think the Russians will move at all.
