00:00Work is nearing completion on the new cafe and activities hub in Hillsborough Park.
00:05We asked residents if they were looking forward to the opening and if they'd use the facilities when they're complete.
00:11Are you looking forward to the new cafe in Hillsborough Park opening?
00:16Yeah, I am actually. I think, obviously there's the depot cafe, but that's quite expensive,
00:23so I'm hoping that the community cafe will be at a more affordable level for everybody.
00:30And I think, you know, there are lots of cafes in Hillsborough, but, you know, actually in the park will be nice.
00:37Do you think that it's starting to look good now that it's approaching completion?
00:42Yeah, this is the first time I've been in for a couple of weeks and I thought I'll just have a walk around and see what it looks like.
00:47And yeah, it looks good. I'm really excited about the mini golf because I have a variety of grandchildren
00:55and hopefully it won't be too expensive and that would be something that we could come down and do.
01:01So I think that would be great.
01:06Could you tell me if you're looking forward to the cafe opening in Hillsborough Park?
01:10I am. It's been going on for a long time, so I'll be glad when it's all finished, but it's great for the community. Fabulous.
01:18Do you think you'll use the facilities that are in there, like the mini golf as well?
01:23Maybe not the mini golf, but definitely the paddle tennis. I'm looking forward to that.
01:29So yeah, I think it's going to be great.
01:31Could you tell me what you think of the new cafe and facilities that are nearing completion in Hillsborough?
01:42Yes, I think it's a fantastic amenity. I'm very much looking forward to it opening.
01:49I think it will be great because a lot of people use the park.
01:52A lot of local cafes get very busy and I like that it's accessible as well.
01:59It looks like it'll have excellent wheelchair access for the golf course and very inclusive, accessible place.
02:07I am excited for it to open.
02:10Do you think you're likely to use the paddle and the golf as well?
02:14Maybe the golf course, but I don't think I'll be using the paddle course.
02:19Are you looking forward to the new cafe opening in Hillsborough Park?
02:26Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, well, any local businesses around in Hillsborough and close to us, yeah, we're always looking forward to new things opening.
02:32Yeah, definitely, definitely.
02:35Are you likely to use the other facilities that they're bringing in here, such as the mini golf and the paddle tennis?
02:42Yeah.
02:43Yeah, we've got a young son, haven't we? So the older he gets, I think the more likely we're definitely going to use them for sure.
02:48But I think, I think I want to try and paddle for so long, so it's nice to do it for sure.
02:54Yeah, absolutely. And then with mini golf as well, as we say, our son will love it.
