New Delhi, July 14 (ANI): Aviation experts Rajiv Pratap Reddy and Meenu Wadia discuss the preliminary AIB report on the recent air crash. Rajiv highlights the lack of accountability in the report, stating, “AIB has not held anyone responsible yet... it would not be appropriate to guess anything else from the initial report.” He emphasizes that more analysis is needed before conclusions can be drawn. Meanwhile, Meenu strongly defends the pilots, pushing back against hasty judgments: “Right from the beginning, the pilots have done everything correctly... I would like to go by facts only, and not by people's opinion.” She criticizes foreign aviation voices for blaming the crew prematurely, stressing, “The aircraft got airborne, the engine failed, and they even tried to relight it. They did nothing wrong.” Both experts urge patience and fact-based investigation as the final analysis unfolds.

00:00Well, of course, that is a known fact that the engines have failed.
00:03The main reason is to find out now why it has failed.
00:20What is extremely disturbing right now is people jumping to conclusions
00:25and again for strong vested interests only.
00:29Not only pilots, some pilots are finding out, some company and some Boeing company.
00:35I think that some of the units have failed and the A.A.I.B. will make our understanding
00:42that who was the end of this situation was going to be.
00:46The pilots have done everything correctly as they are required to do.
00:50As they are required to take off, they are done all their regular checks.
00:54The aircraft has got airborne, then the engineers fail.
00:57And obviously, when some engine has failed, they have asked a very pertinent question immediately.
01:03Have you done anything to switch off the engine?
01:06So the other person says, no, obviously, that is a normal reaction and a normal question.
01:10Well, of course, that is a known fact that the engines have failed.
01:14The main reason is to find out now why it has failed.
01:17What is extremely disturbing right now is people jumping to conclusions
01:22and again for strong vested interests only.
01:26We have seen people, especially foreign, supposed to be aviation specialists,
01:32some foreign pilots, specifically specifying, saying that it is a pilot mistake,
01:38it is a pilot error, they have done this and they have done that.
01:41I would like to go by facts only and not by people's opinion.
01:46Let us go by facts itself.
01:48Right from the beginning, the pilots have done everything correctly as they are required to do.
01:54As they are required to take off, done all their regular checks,
01:58the aircraft has got airborne, then the engine has failed.
02:01And obviously, when some engine has failed,
02:03they have asked a very pertinent question immediately.
02:06Have you done anything to switch off the engine?
02:10So the other person says, no, obviously, that is a normal reaction and a normal question.
02:14So the pilots have done nothing wrong at this point of time.
02:18In fact, because the engines have failed, they have tried to even relight the engine.
02:22And what the report also states is that one of the engines partially did ignite again
02:29and getting the power, but the aircraft was so low and there was such little power
02:34that it had to go into the buildings and crash in front of it.
02:38Therefore, it is not my opinion, going purely by facts,
02:42that the pilots, in my opinion, have done an absolutely perfect job and done absolutely nothing wrong.
02:48However, what evidence is available to us today, actual evidence is available,
02:54that there are people who are trying to mislead the public.
02:57And, for example, I have seen media reports and especially foreign experts.
03:03A.A.I.B.
03:33I have seen media reports and media reports.
03:39I have seen media reports that,
03:42we don't know whether to us or not.
03:45hoga.
