00:00The 100 million FedExCup payouts changing significantly.

00:05I'm quoting from an article that Sean Zach wrote for Golf.com summarizing it.

00:10So just main points, total bonus pool remains at 100 million.

00:13No one's getting paid any less.

00:15It's just they're paying it out at different times.

00:18So a total of the headline in his article here, regular season matters the most.

00:23A total of 20 million will be split among the top 10 players in the FedExCup

00:27at the conclusion of their regular season.

00:30Which I guess is like almost layering on a bonus to the Comcast business tour

00:34for all intents and purposes.

00:37There are payouts for positioning after each of the playoff events.

00:43So like there's an additional 23 million that gets paid out after the BMW

00:47championship based on standings there.

00:49And then the winner at Eastlake rather than winning, I guess it was the 25 or

00:55$30 million winner's share last year.

00:58We'll win just $10 million for that week.

01:00Second place was $5 million, so on and so forth.

01:03It's essentially a $40 million purse for the tour championship now.

01:09So face value, do we like this change?

01:13What do you think about this change?

01:15Well, it's kind of what we expected to happen.

01:18I'm just surprised it took a while for it to be rolled out.

01:21You would have thought this whole thing would have been rolled out when the tour

01:24championship was announced in the new format.

01:27So it definitely explains a lot because it definitely maybe keeps a player like

01:30Scotty Sheffler or Rory McRoy or name another top four or five player on the

01:37FedEx Cup points to to maybe want to play Memphis and BMW.

01:42They still might be able to get away with it with how far ahead they are.

01:46But got to remember, points are like quadrupled at the playoffs.

01:49So things definitely can get a little dicey when it comes to those top spots and how much

01:54money is on the line.

01:55Not to say these guys haven't made a jillion dollars this year, but it is another factor

02:00for these guys to play.

02:02Rory's been rumored to not want to play Memphis this year.

02:05Um, golf course that he doesn't necessarily like it's hot.

02:08Um, so I don't expect to see Rory there this year, but, uh, I would assume that

02:14Scotty will play, um, would have to think he'll play right.
