00:00I have now seen what we talked about with the chemistry and the experience and the mental preparedness.
00:05So leading to this film, more comic books or chemistry books in prep.
00:09Oh, wow. I'm not going to lie. I did have to dip into my chemistry knowledge.
00:14You know, he is the element man, so I had to go back to the periodic table periodically.
00:20I just came up with that.
00:22Use it the rest of the day. We got it first, though.
00:24Okay, great.
00:25Now, this is a role that we've seen teased in many things.
00:28We've seen it in the trailers, but we've also seen Stagg teased in Creature Commandos.
00:31It's something that evolves in his presentation.
00:33What are you most excited about people actually getting to experience since you've lived it in a tease for so long?
00:39Well, I mean, I think just on the whole, like this character, it's the first live-action representation of Metamorpho.
00:45So that in itself, I'm not sure if you've seen the makeup. It's insane.
00:49They did such a wonderful job with it.
00:51And it's practical. It's not just CGI. It's real makeup. It's real costume.
00:56So it's very special.
00:58Did any of your Barry co-stars who have obviously seen you in villainous and reluctant modes have anything to say about the experience of seeing you in that makeup?
01:06You know, I will say that Steven Root gave me, as a gift, the first appearance of Metamorpho in a comic book.
01:15So, Steven Root, love you, buddy. He's just the best. Doesn't get any classier than that.
01:20What an answer. I love that there's so much heart and you've got a beautiful moment in history in that answer.
01:24Sure. And then last question for you. I love how complicated his backstory is.
01:28And I love that you feel that in the wait. And there's an especially beautiful scene that doesn't spoil anything, but it's three of you and this incredible moment for a prolonged period of time.
01:36What was it like playing that role that is so dense and so complicated in that endurance run of time?
01:41Like, it's not a blip. It's an endurance. What was that like to stay in that?
01:45I mean, I'm not going to lie. It's intense. It's intense. And a lot of what you have to do, especially for a movie like this, with the emotion and the action, it's a marathon.
01:56But at the same time, you just have to remind yourself you're in Superman. You're in, like, the biggest movie ever.
02:01And it's just, it makes it all worth it.
