00:00How about a good start yesterday in Milwaukee, or actually in Miami, but for Milwaukee,
00:05and a good sign for the Brewers. Brandon Woodruff back on the bump. He started a baseball game for
00:10the first time since September of 2023. September 23rd, 2023, ironically, also in Miami against the
00:19Marlins. That start late in the year, clinched a playoff bid for the Brewers. His first start in
00:25651 days. He had shoulder surgery that October, October of 2023, and his return this season,
00:32DRS delayed by ankle and elbow injuries. Yesterday, only 70 pitches, but six innings of work,
00:38only a single earned run, just two base knocks, and did strike out eight. A really good sign for
00:44Milwaukee atop that starting staff. Yeah, good landing spot too, going down the South Beach and
00:49pitching one of the better pitching ballparks there, but I actually thought the Marlins were
00:52probably the better play yesterday, just because of the fact we didn't know what we were going to
00:55get out of Woodruff. He was sensational yesterday, everything they needed in a lower scoring game
00:59to hold down the Marlins, which those bats over the past couple of weeks have been hot. Good
01:04start for Woodruff. We'll see where it goes, but it's always nice. Sometimes the best trades are
01:08the players you just get back from the IL, and maybe Woodruff can help down the stretch.
