00:00Datuk Asman Shah Abdul Rahman has been officially appointed as the new Johor State Secretary,

00:08effective Monday.

00:09He received the State Secretary Letter of Credence, Oath of Office, and Oath of Allegiance

00:15during a ceremony attended by Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim,

00:20held at Istana Bukit Serene in Johor Bahru.

00:23Also in attendance were Johor Mentri Besar Datuk On Hafiz Ghazi

00:27and Johor Council of Royal Court President Datuk Dr. Abdul Rahim Ramli.

00:32Asman Shah previously served as Deputy State Secretary Development since October 1, 2023.

00:40He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Chiba University, Japan,

00:44and brings with him extensive experience in public service.

00:47Among the key positions he has held are Johor Bahru District Officer, Mayor of Pasir Gudang,

00:53Johor Tourism Director and CEO of the Johor Biotechnology and Biodiversity Corporation.

00:59He succeeds Tanshree Dr. Azmi Rohani, who has been appointed Comptroller of the Royal Household at Istana Nagara, effective July 1.
