32:19and tonight finds himself under the gun.

32:52Hello, everyone.

32:53I'm John Williams.

32:54A Dothan police officer is facing a number of accusations, including brutality.

32:59Today, an ordinary city commission meeting changed to a finger-pointing session.

33:03The object, a police officer.

33:05Several people showed up at the commission meeting just to complain about police officer Vernon J. Anderson.

33:10They demanded he be fired.

33:12Anderson is currently the focus of an internal investigation after a suspect was shot

33:16while allegedly struggling with him over his gun.

33:19But the complaints lodged against Anderson this morning date back as far as last spring,

33:24and ranged from harassment to beatings.

33:29He came marching across the street like he was some kind of Charles and Bull.

33:33Twist my arm, and I am pregnant.

33:36And then we was telling him that I was pregnant.

33:39Took me to the car, twist both of my arms as far as he could behind my back.

33:44Slammed me on the car and took his knee and put it into my back.

33:47And they were still telling him, as I was pregnant, and he was telling me that I wasn't.

33:51We don't pay tanks for this.

33:54We need officers that will tell our, reprimand our kids and tell them, you know,

34:02to do better than they are doing if they are wrong.

34:05If they do the crime, do the cam or pay the fine.

34:10But for this, we will not tolerate.

34:13If it's all true or even partially true, this officer should be dismissed.

34:17I agree with that.

34:18But he didn't have a chance.

34:20I do not feel like this was handled properly by not going through the police chief.

34:25And you say that you tried to contact him and couldn't reach him.

34:30It should have gone through him to start with before we try a man without him having a chance to defend himself.

34:36Though some of the complainers claim otherwise, Dothan police chief John White says he's never received a formal complaint against Officer Anderson.

34:44But White says if somebody files one, he will have it investigated.

34:47Well, the Dothan police are searching for a man who robbed a Dothan convenience store about an hour ago.

34:52Police say the man asked for change from the clerk at the shell station just outside the circle on West Main.

34:58And when she opened the drawer, the man jumped over the counter, grabbed a handful of money and ran.

35:02There was no weapon used in the robbery and no one was hurt.

35:05The suspect is a white male, 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 155 pounds.

35:12He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans with a hole in the knee.

35:16The investigation is continuing.

35:19The prosecution is happy.

35:20The defense isn't commenting so far.

35:23The judge in the O.J. Simpson case today relented on his threat to disallow some genetic test results as evidence.
