00:00The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, or PCCI, supports the 50 pesos wage increase in Metro Manila.

00:07However, the PCCI expected that the wage increase will not lead to higher prices of goods.

00:13Under the wage order number 26 of NCR Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board,

00:18the daily minimum wage for non-agricultural sectors will reach 695 pesos,

00:23while the minimum wage for agriculture, retail and service establishments

00:27with a limited number of employees will be 658 pesos.

00:31Other regions in the country are also expected to follow the wage adjustment

00:35based on the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr.
