A cool and unsettled few days up north, while the south basks in sunshine and warmth. Here's what to expect heading into the weekend.
Transcript
00:00A north-south divide is shaping our weather over the next few days.
00:04On Thursday, a cold front will bring scattered blustery showers and thunderstorms to Scotland,
00:08Northern Ireland and Northern England, where it will also feel cool.
00:12Further south though, expect plenty of dry and sunny weather, and it will feel warm and pleasant.
00:17Very similar weather is then forecast on Friday, so it will be another wet and windy day in the north,
00:22but further south it will remain dry, warm and sunny, with temperatures climbing into the mid to high 20s.
00:28A fresher day for all areas on Saturday, with patchy outbreaks of rain,
00:33with the best of the dry and sunny weather is expected to be in the east.
00:37A fresher day again on Sunday, with a scattering of showers, so a pretty mixed bag of weather is in store.
00:44If you are in the north, don't forget to your umbrella, and further south, do enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts.
