00:11It was a night of splendor, great food, premium drinks, and of course, luxurious carnival fashions.
00:21This is Lox, where power meets pleasure, where carnival meets couture.
00:39Yuma is the first band to launch for Carnival 2K26 and they are promising to bring a Lox experience to the road.
00:47Our intent for this particular presentation, which we've never done a full blingy costume design collection,
00:56we want people to be able to experience on the road Monday and Tuesday some essence of where you would want to be in life.
01:04Some of our designs were mirrored over things like the House of Versace, Nirvana, which is basically an explanation about freedom.
01:13We have no, which is really and truly about black and what black means and just gold meaning richness.
01:20So it's really just about the opulent way of living or hoping to live.
01:23Now in its 16th year of the carnival business, Yuma is set to have a strong presentation next year with a total of 14 sections.
01:32I have three out of 14 sections.
01:33I have three out of 14 sections with a cast of amazing designers alongside me like Marie Collette, Christian Chouchong,
01:39Chrissy McDonald, Roll, Lauren Austin, out of Barbados. We have Crave from the States. It's a wide cast of a crazy bunch of creatives that just make Yuma work.
01:53Yuma is welcoming one and all to join them on the road next year.
01:59There's no concern when it comes to this band. We have been inclusive from since inception.
02:03We have been inclusive before. Inclusivity was a thing. And last year was something that we would have started.
02:09We continued along that path tonight. I also want to boast and say that we were able to present probably 22 or 23 new models to the state that has never done carnival before.
02:22Some of them have never played mass. A lot of them are very young because we wanted to be able to have a new, fresh crop of talent because that's who we are.
02:29We always seek to find the next person that wants an opportunity and wants a chance, which is what Yuma means.
02:36So I'm very proud to say that we really try to present on this stage every single ethnicity, shape, color, size. It doesn't matter.
02:45A number of persons have already registered for their LOX experience. So interested revelers are urged to move with haste.
