00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest Met Office forecast. It remains fairly changeable across
00:06north-western parts of the UK over the next 24 hours or so, but high pressure dominates
00:11further south-east you are, particularly across England and Wales. And you can see weather
00:14fronts moving in across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland as we head through the
00:18beginning of the new working week, indicating some cloud and rain on the way. Through this
00:24evening and overnight, generally clear spells across England and Wales. Cloud could be thick
00:28enough across some hills in the west for some light rain and drizzle and clouding over across
00:33Northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland as well. A few light showers are possible.
00:38Humidity is high across the whole of the UK and despite some clear skies, temperatures generally
00:44for most will be in the range of 16 to 18 Celsius, perhaps a little fresher the far north-east of
00:50Scotland. Some places perhaps not falling below 20 degrees, so it will be a warm night for everyone.
00:55There will be some low cloud initially across England and Wales Monday morning, but it should
01:00burn back quicker than what we saw through the weekend, though some western fringes stay in
01:04cloudier with some coastal mist as well. But there will be plenty of sunshine through into the
01:09afternoon across England and Wales. The weather focus away from the sunshine will be across
01:13Northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland where some heavy rain is possible. Some localised surface
01:19water flooding is possible as the rain pushes its way slowly eastwards through the afternoon
01:25into the evening time as well. Temperatures here under the cloud and rain will be a little
01:30lower, 21, 22 Celsius. Any sunshine across the east could reach around 24, 25 Celsius across Scotland
01:38there. But England and Wales generally the high 20s to low 30s, perhaps even 34, 35 towards the London
01:44area. The first day of Wimbledon here, so extremely hot. And for those leaving Glastonbury as well,
01:50temperatures around 29 or 30 Celsius. So the travel home will be on the hot side.
01:55The heat of the day could spark one or two heavy showers across eastern England into the evening
02:00time. The weather front across Northern Ireland and Scotland continues to push its way eastwards,
02:05but generally the rain eases on it as we head into the early hours. Just one or two heavy bursts
02:10still possible across eastern England. Warm and humid to the south of this weather front across southern
02:16England. Temperatures again not falling much below 20 Celsius, but turning fresher across Northern Ireland
02:22and Scotland here. Temperatures back down at 10, 11, 12 Celsius to start Tuesday morning. But a sunny start
02:28here across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Cloudier across into Northern England, the Midlands, Wales,
02:35some patchy rain possible. This frontal system not really moving very far during the day on Tuesday. To the
02:40southeast of this, sunny spells developing once more. The heat holding on for another day across
02:46southeast England. Highs around 34, possibly 35 Celsius. Cloudier zone. Temperatures will be around
02:5218 to 22 Celsius. And then back in the sunshine across Northern Ireland and Scotland in that fresher
02:59air. Temperatures around 18 to 20 degrees. So around average for the time of year. Looking ahead over the
03:07next few days, we'll see temperatures around average for the time of year after this hot spell. And
