00:00What about cleaning the mouth and the nose with water whilst one feels just like refreshing
00:09the mouth or in the middle of wudu, is this a permitted act?
00:16As far as putting water in the mouth or gargling the mouth with water or putting water in the
00:22nose, whether a person is feeling hot or whether while doing wudu, it is permissible because
00:30it doesn't enter the body, as long as the water doesn't enter the body, a person does
00:35not swallow the water, it's permissible.
00:37And in wudu, gargling is a requirement, putting water in the mouth is a requirement, but natural
00:44doing wudu is further, before filling salah.
00:47And while fasting you have to offer salah and you have to do wudu, so how can it be prohibited?
00:51So when a person puts water in his mouth while gargling, in wudu or otherwise, he should
00:56be careful that he does not swallow the water.
00:59And when he puts it into the nose, there are some people who think it will break the fast
01:04based on a hadith.
01:07And that is the reason they only touch the water to the tip of the nose and they don't
01:11put it inside because it's a hadith of the Messenger of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
01:15And Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, it's mentioned in the hadith of Sunan Abu Dawud,
01:20volume number 2, in the book of fasting, hadith number 2360, that the Prophet said, snuff water
01:26excessively while doing wudu, except while fasting.
01:31That means the Prophet recommended that you should snuff, put the water excessively in
01:35your nose, except while fasting, indicating that if the water goes through the nose, into
01:41your throat, into the stomach, it will break the fast.
01:44That doesn't mean putting water in the nose is prohibited.
01:48So normally when you put water, it doesn't go into your throat.
01:51And even if you snuff excessively, always it doesn't go, it can go.
01:54So it's a precaution the Prophet said, that don't snuff water excessively while fasting,
01:59otherwise you have to do that.
02:00So this hadith also proves that putting water in the nose, it is permitted.
02:05But you have to be careful, you should not snuff excessively, so that it goes into the throat,
02:10otherwise the water goes into the throat and the stomach, either via the mouth or the nose,
02:14it will break the fast.
02:16But unintentionally, while doing wudu, or while gargling, if the water does enter, inshallah,
02:24Allah will not hold you responsible, because it's done unintentionally.
02:27So this is the way to buy water, the low gadgling, hence the 4-2-2 intensity amount, you will break
02:45the water into the nihil 관심, you have to Andersò玩stein, with a spel egulfur alguma,
