00:02before you get ready to go in there

00:03and do battle and try to make these finals?

00:06I feel good.

00:07You know, I feel good.

00:08I felt like doing back-to-back camps

00:10has really benefited me.

00:13You know, I've just kind of stayed in shape

00:14for these last seven weeks, you know,

00:17so I'm feeling good.

00:19I'm in Chicago, enjoying the weather,

00:21and yeah, I just can't wait.

00:24And obviously, you know, that's something that,

00:26you know, you've been working towards,

00:27all the things that you've been working

00:28throughout your career.

00:28You've had title fights, of course,

00:29before this, before this tournament

00:31that you got into.

00:32But, you know, you talked about on social media

00:34how it's been a long journey for you.

00:35It's 16 years.

00:36You know, you're thinking back to

00:37when you were, you know, scrapping in the park,

00:40and, you know, how you turned that into a career

00:41and how far you've come right now

00:42going at this point into these semifinals.

00:45Talk about that journey for us.

00:47Yeah, it's just, like I say,

00:49it's been a long journey.

00:50You know, I wouldn't have been fighting for 10 years,

00:52but I've pretty much been fighting my whole life.

00:54You know, I never thought as a kid

00:56that we're doing this as a professional

00:58and inspiring people, you know.

01:00So I'm grateful for the position I'm in.

01:05You know, I feel like I've been blessed

01:07and that's it.

01:09You know, I still feel like I've got

01:11a good eight more years left in this sport or so.

01:15And I'm just enjoying the journey, honestly.

01:17I'm with my team in Chicago,

01:19about to fight and make it to the final.

01:22And then, yeah, it's just a lot of gratitude.

01:25You know, I'm just enjoying the moment.

01:28Now, of course, that fight team

01:29includes your brother Leon.

01:30You know, I'm sure he was right there

01:31with you scrapping those days

01:32how you guys have both turned this

01:33into something where it's given you,

01:35you know, a lot of fame and notoriety

01:37and a lot of respect around the world.

01:39But, you know, you fought for him

01:41and with him earlier in your career

01:42and, you know, in your life.

01:43But now I saw you talking, you know,

01:45talking about how a big part of why you fight

01:47and why you do this now isn't for you,

01:48isn't for him, but, you know, for your kids.

01:50And, you know, you post a picture to them

01:52and you're training with them,

01:53bringing them to the gym, getting them involved.

01:55How has that given you a different perspective

01:56at this point in your life?

01:58I think it just, yeah, it just puts,

02:02like, it makes you realize why you're doing it.

02:04You know, and I'm not doing this

02:06for just to be known or anything.

02:10It's all about providing for myself and my family.

02:12You know what I mean?

02:12And achieving what I know I can achieve.

02:14I put a lot of hours in this.

02:16So that's what it's about,

02:18providing for myself and my family

02:19and leaving a good legacy.

02:22And that's what I'm working towards, you know?
