00:00The movie begins with a glamorous party taking place inside a luxurious apartment in New York
00:05City. This elegant place belongs to Tom Mullen, a very wealthy man, owner of a successful airline
00:11business. He is hosting this party to showcase a new commercial that shares his personal journey,
00:16how he worked hard and became a millionaire on his own. The advertisement proudly shows how he
00:21built his company from nothing and without help or money from his family, it focuses on his
00:26self-made success. We're still pretty small in the grand scheme of things, but I never wanted to be
00:31the biggest. As the party goes on, the film alternates scenes of smiling guests enjoying themselves
00:36in a much darker situation elsewhere. In a hidden and secret place, a group of unknown people is shown
00:43preparing something dangerous. These people are kidnappers and are setting up a small, grimy room
00:49designed to keep someone locked up. It's clear they are planning to kidnap someone very soon.
00:53This contrast between the luxurious party and the hidden criminal activity sets up the central
00:58conflict of the movie, Wealth vs. Desperation. Not long after, Tom is seen attending a science
01:04fair held in Central Park. He is there with his wife, Kate, and their young son, Sean. Kate is one of
01:10the judges of the event. As they walk through the fair, Sean begins to get distracted. He slowly drifts
01:15away from his parents without them noticing. Shortly afterward, Sean is kidnapped by a group of
01:20criminals. Among those involved in this crime is Mary Connor, a woman who works as a catering
01:25provider and had access to the Mullins' home during events. There are also two brothers,
01:30Clark and Cubby Barnes, both previously involved in criminal activities. The last member of the group
01:35is Miles Roberts, a man who is good with computers and technology. Together, the group grabs Sean,
01:42throws him into the back of a white van, and drives away quickly. A catering provider,
01:46two ex-convicts, and a tech guy. Tom and Kate soon realize that Sean has disappeared. They panic and
01:53begin running, shouting his name, desperately searching for him. But Sean is gone. They can't
01:58find him anywhere. Soon after, at home, the kidnappers contact the couple through an email.
02:03This in a video message showing Sean blindfolded and chained to a bed. He looks terrified and completely
02:09helpless. Do not involve the police or the FBI. If you do, the person speaking in the video uses a
02:15voice changer, making it impossible to recognize who they are. Help me reach my goal of 10 likes

02:34They demand a ransom of $2 million and warn that if the police or the media get involved,
02:40Sean will be killed. Do not inform the media or I will kill him. Although the threat is serious,
02:44Tom and Kate feel they can't handle this alone, so they decide to call the FBI.
02:50To avoid drawing attention, the FBI agents arrive at the Muhlen family attic disguised as renovation
02:55workers. The team is led by Agent Lonnie Hawkins. Once inside, Agent Hawkins asks the couple if they
03:02want to negotiate with the kidnappers or simply pay the ransom. Tom has already made a decision.
03:07He has prepared two large suitcases full of money, ready to hand them over as soon as he receives
03:12instructions from the kidnappers. Tom's instant reaction to pay suggests he's used to money
03:16solving his problems, but for now, it will do. Meanwhile, back at the kidnappers' hideout in
03:22Brooklyn, one of the group members, Kobe, begins to feel guilty. He feels sympathetic for having hurt
03:28Sean, so he sits next to him and gives him a chocolate to eat. However, the woman Mara scolds
03:33Chubby for feeling bad and trying to make the boy feel better.
03:36What are you doing? Do you like this kid? Do you want to get to know him? Start a little
03:40relationship? Kobe is the only one who has a conscience in a robbery that went wrong.
03:44This is a death sentence. The others also support the woman, stating that Kobe shouldn't play those
03:50games with the boy, as the situation is more serious than he thinks. But Chubby believes the
03:55boy won't even remember their faces since he's blindfolded. Clark, Kobe's brother, also agrees with
04:01what the others are saying, but he's surely protective of his brother and doesn't want the others to
04:05disrespect him. Back in the Mullen attic, Tom has a private conversation with Agent Hawkins.
04:10He reveals a secret from his past. Years ago, during union conflict, Tom bribed a powerful
04:16machinist union leader to stop a strike. Because of this illegal payment, the union leader went to
04:21prison. However, Tom was never punished or even charged. Now he wonders if this past mistake
04:27is related to his son's kidnapping. To investigate this possible lead, Hawkins arranges a meeting between
04:33Tom and the imprisoned union leader. After talking, it becomes clear that the man has nothing to do
04:38with Sean's disappearance. Where's my son? What? And you, mother, are accusing me of leaving him there?
04:45Later, back in Kobe, wanting to make the boy feel better, Kobe decides to go out to buy cereal and
04:50videotapes. He walks to a nearby corner store, unaware that police officers are already outside working on a
04:57completely different case. Detective Jimmy Shaker and his partner are inside the store,
05:02interrogating a man who just tried to rob the place. Number, while they're talking to the suspect,
05:07the man notices that Kobe is acting strangely and watches him suspiciously. Something about Kobe
05:13doesn't seem right. After the interrogation, Jimmy leaves the store with his partner. But a few minutes
05:18later, he quietly returns and begins to follow Kobe unnoticed. Jimmy secretly follows him to the
05:25hideout. Once he arrives, he sneaks in and passes through the locked room where they're holding
05:29Sean. Then, in a shocking moment, Jimmy pulls out a gun and points it at Kobe's head. This is when the
05:35big twist is revealed. Jimmy, the detective, is actually the leader of the group of kidnappers.
05:41Plot twist, the cop is the villain. Angry, he tells Kobe that his trip to the store was careless
05:47and could have ruined everything. Jimmy says that Kobe is lucky no one noticed that the known
05:52criminal was buying food for children. At night, we see Maris and Jimmy in bed and understand that
05:58they are dating and she is there for him. She mentioned that neither Kobe nor the others respect
06:03her, that she thinks the whole team is irresponsible, and questions why Jimmy needed to include them in
06:09the plan. Why do we need them? Why? We can't do this alone. Back at Mullen's attic, Jimmy, still using a
06:15disguised voice, calls again and gives new instructions to drop off the expected ransom. The FBI tries to trace
06:21the call, but Jimmy uses advanced technology to block their efforts. Jimmy's technology blocks
06:27the FBI. Convenient, but hey, it was the 90s. Hacking was magic back then. The agents suggest
06:34using a decoy, a name that sounds like Tom, to deliver the money, but Tom refuses. He insists on
06:40doing it himself. The FBI agrees and hides a small microphone on Tom to listen during the drop-off.
06:46Tom insists on delivering the money himself. Pride or paternal instinct. Either way, it's reckless
06:52music. In the midst of it, Jimmy and the kidnappers prepare to leave, and Kobe once again approaches
06:58Sean and assures him that he's close enough to reunite with his family. And it will happen soon.
07:03It's almost over, kid. Soon, Tom arrives at the first meeting point. When he gets there, a call on his
07:08car phone tells him to go to Jim. Once inside, Jimmy orders him to jump into the pool. At the bottom,
07:13Tom finds the key to a locker, but the water causes the hidden microphone to stop working.
07:19He follows all the suspects who leave the building. After getting out of the water, Tom uses the key
07:24to open a locker. Inside, he finds a radio and a new suit. He's told to change clothes and put the
07:30money into two duffel bags. He does as he's told and finds a car waiting for him outside. The original
07:36suitcases full of money are left behind, now out of the FBI's reach. As day turns to night, Tom keeps
07:42driving while Jimmy secretly follows him in another car. Over the radio, Jimmy begins to
07:48taunt Tom, saying he always uses money to solve his problems, just like he did when he bribed the
07:53union leader. Hey, I saw your TV commercial. It's not bad. It's actually pretty good, but let me tell
07:58you, Tom tries to ask about his son or speak with Sean, but Jimmy dodges the questions. Jimmy's mockery
08:04of Tom over the radio is the ultimate example of the villain's boastfulness. Someone is enjoying this
08:10too much. Frustrated, Tom stops. The radio signal weakens, which helps Tom realize that Jimmy must be
08:17nearby, following him. Tom drives again, and the signal grows stronger. What city? Jimmy then tells
08:23him to get off the main road and head to a stone quarry. He says that once Tom delivers the money,
08:28he'll receive the address where Sean is being held. At the quarry, Kobe appears driving an off-road
08:34vehicle. He demands the money. Tom asks for the promised location, but Kobe ignores him and tries to
08:40grab the bags. You want to see a kid again, man? Then give me the money. Suddenly, two helicopters
08:45arrive carrying a SWAT team. They surround the area. Panicking, Kobe tries to escape with the money.
08:51As he drives off, he starts shooting at the officers and hits one of them. A sniper from a helicopter
08:56shoots Kobe in the neck, throwing him from the vehicle. Oh, SWAT team leader to command post. We have
09:03a fallen agent. Tom runs hoping that Kobe is still alive and willing to talk, but Kobe turns out to be
09:08seriously injured and dies without saying a word. Where is he? What have you done with him? Tom is
09:13furious. He blames the FBI for killing the only person who could have led them to his son. You
09:19killed my son. Agent Hawkins tries to calm Tom down. He explains that although Kobe is dead,
09:25they now know who he is. Kobe is a small-time criminal who often worked with his older brother,
09:30Clark Barnes. Clark is more dangerous and has more experience in crime. The agents believe that finding
09:36Clark is now their best chance to save Sean. He's the mastermind of the family, and they also know
09:41he's much higher up the criminal food chain. Back at the hideout, Clark is devastated after losing
09:46his younger brother. He's full of rage and no longer wants to follow the plan. He suggests they
09:51kill Sean and leave. Mary agrees, thinking the plan is falling apart. I've been exposed. I can't go back
09:57to my life. What do you want me to do? You tell me. But Jimmy, who is still in control,
10:03totally disagrees. He yells at both of them and tells them the plan is not over.
10:07I brought you into this because you had brains and guts. He insists that they will collect the
10:12ransom from Tom no matter what. The kid will die when we no longer need him. Meanwhile, in Tom's
10:18luxurious penthouse, news stations begin reporting on Sean's kidnapping and the ransom. The story spreads
10:24quickly and appears on every TV channel. The public now knows the situation. Tom also remembers the
10:31incident with Kobe and how confused he was when he asked him for Sean's address. He had no idea
10:36what he was talking about. And now Tom suspects whether Jimmy will keep his part of the deal
10:40and return Sean after the incident. Because of this, he proposes not to pay the ransom and to look for
10:46other ways to get his son back. We give him what he wants and he'll kill Sean. Tom, you have to play
10:51the odds, man. While all this is happening, Jimmy calls Tom again. This time he gives him new instructions
10:56on where to drop off the ransom money. So this is how you want to play it, huh? You're going to lie
11:01to me, Tom. At first, Tom follows the new instructions. But soon, after hearing what Jimmy
11:06says, he changes his mind. No FBI. You pay me and there shouldn't be a problem. Now I have a damn
11:13circus out there. Then Tom tells Jimmy to turn on Channel 5 and watch the news over the next few
11:18hours. After saying this, he quickly ends the call. Immediately, Tom heads to a local news station.
11:24Once there, he interrupts the regular news broadcast. He sits behind a desk with all the
11:28$2 million ransom money placed around him so that everyone watching can see it. Looking directly at
11:34the camera, Tom makes a bold and unexpected statement. He will not pay the ransom, but this
11:40is as close as you'll ever get to it. You will never see a single dollar of this money. Instead of
11:45giving in to the kidnappers' demands, Tom turns the money into a public reward. He tells the audience
11:50that anyone who helps capture or even kill the kidnapper will receive the full mount.
11:55Tom's televised move is bold, but also a Hail Mary, either brilliant or suicidal. Tom makes it
12:02clear that the kidnapper will never touch a single dollar. However, he says that if Sean returns safe
12:07and sound, he will cancel the reward. So you still have the chance to do the right thing. Then Tom goes
12:12back home. His wife and Hawkins are shocked by what he just did. They didn't expect him to make such a
12:17dangerous move, but Tom stands firm in his decision. He manages to convince his wife that this is the
12:22only way to save their son. But I know that if I give him the money, he'll kill Sean. I would if I
12:27were him. He believes that if the kidnappers get the money, they'll kill Sean anyway. Tom says that
12:33Kobe's actions during the first ransom made him realize that this was the likely outcome. At the
12:38hideout, things are falling apart. Jimmy begins to lose control of the group. The other kidnappers
12:43panic after seeing the news about the reward. Now they are more determined than ever to kill Sean. But
12:48Jimmy arrives just in time to save Sean, claiming that it's still not the right time to kill the boy.
12:54Jimmy sees that things are spiraling out of control. So he tries to regain control by coming up with a
12:59new plan. He secretly sends a message to Kate, Tom's wife. In the message, he tells her to meet him alone
13:05at a renovated old church at 12 a.m. and not to tell Tom anything. If Mr. Mullen knows about this,
13:11when Kate arrives at the church, Jimmy is wearing a ski mask. He appears suddenly,
13:16scares her, and threatens to cut Sean open if the ransom is not paid. To make his threat more real,
13:22he gives her Sean's bloodstained shirt. Kate is terrified. She returns home in shock,
13:27clearly traumatized by what she saw and heard. After this, she begins to doubt Tom's decision.
13:33She's no longer sure that refusing to pay the ransom is the right decision. Hawkins realizes this
13:38and tries to convince her that paying the ransom is the only safe way to bring Sean back.
13:43But Tom still hasn't given up. Instead, he goes out and speaks directly to the group of reporters
13:48waiting in front of his house. He makes another surprising announcement. The reward will now be
13:53doubled to $4 million. Doubling the reward. Now it's personal. Jimmy's ego won't let this slide.
14:00Now Jimmy is even more desperate. He calls Tom again and lets Sean speak for a few seconds to prove
14:05he's still alive. Then Jimmy again demands the ransom money, but neither Jimmy nor Tom is willing
14:11to back down. You have one more chance to pay him. Well, you'll never speak to him again. Their
14:16conversation quickly turns into a shouting match. At the end of the call, Jimmy yells that he's going
14:21to kill Sean. To scare Tom and Kate even more, he fires a gun at a wall and then ends the call.
14:28Tom and Kate are left terrified, not knowing if their son is still alive. Back at the hideout,
14:33the kidnapper's plan is falling apart completely. Jimmy walks to a nearby laundromat, trying to think
14:39of what to do next. Meanwhile, Clark and Miles start packing up their white van, preparing to flee.
14:44Inside the house, Maris begins thinking again about killing Sean. While sitting in the laundromat,
14:50Jimmy comes up with one last desperate plan. He uses his police radio to send a fake emergency call.
14:56Then he runs out, flashes his badge, and pretends he's arresting Clark and Miles. But they quickly
15:01realize he's betraying them. Jimmy's fake arrest plan is messy. Desperation makes even smart criminals
15:07stupid. They try to escape using the van, but Jimmy shoots and kills both of them. To make it look like
15:13self-defense, he places a used gun on Miles' body. At that moment, Maris comes out of the house and
15:19sees what just happened. Angry and shocked, she shoots Jimmy in the shoulder. Despite being wounded
15:24and in pain, Jimmy fights back and kills her. Police officers arrive shortly after. Jimmy stumbles
15:31back into the house and sits next to Sean. He calls for help on the radio, pretending he just found the
15:36kidnapper's location and rescued Sean. He stays by Sean's side until the emergency services unit arrives
15:42and enters the house. Jimmy poses as a hero after murdering his crew. Shortly after, Tom and Kate receive
15:49the news. They rush to the scene to see their son. Fortunately, Sean is alive. Tom thanks Jimmy,
15:56who is now being taken to an ambulance, for saving his son. Thank you, now it's safe. He struggles to
16:01adjust to normal life. He is afraid of the dark and has trouble with bright lights. Because he was
16:06blindfolded, most of the time he was held captive. A few days later, Jimmy visits Tom's attic to collect
16:12the $4 million reward. Tom agrees to give it to him. He invites Jimmy into his study to write the check.
16:18But when Tom begins to write, Jimmy suddenly asks a serious question. Can I ask you a personal
16:23question? Sure. Why didn't you pay the ransom? Tom answers honestly. He says he couldn't give money to
16:29someone so cruel and evil as the kidnapper. He adds that if the situation had gotten worse, he might have
16:35been willing to pay 10 times that amount just to get Sean back safe and sound. As they talk, Sean enters
16:40the room and stops at the door when he realizes his father is with a guest. Suddenly, Sean freezes in fear
16:47and pees in his pants. Sean's pants, soaked in fear, are the revelation we needed. No words, just primal
16:54terror. Tom notices this reaction out of the corner of his eye. He also remembers hearing on the news that
16:59Maris might not have acted alone. So he feels that the dots are finally connecting. God bless him.
17:05In the midst of this, Sean's mother enters the room and greets Jimmy with a warm hug and a smile.
17:11Jimmy had no choice but to respond to her gratitude. Kate hugging Jimmy is brutal irony.
17:16The man who tortured her son receives a hero's hug. This gives Sean the most terrifying feeling he
17:21could ever have and Tom is sure of Jimmy's involvement in the kidnapping. Fatima, could
17:26you help me with some things downstairs? Sean leaves the room quietly and unnoticed, but the damage is
17:32already done. Tom starts to feel uncomfortable. Well, you probably want to be on your way. He hands the
17:37check to Jimmy, but his hand hesitates. Jimmy senses something is wrong. He quickly realizes that Tom
17:43might have figured out the truth. That Jimmy was one of the kidnappers. To protect himself,
17:48Jimmy pulls out a gun and tells Tom to call the bank and send the money to his account. Tom agrees,
17:54but calmly suggests they go to the bank together. He promises that after transferring the money,
17:59Jimmy will be able to leave the country. Jimmy thinks for a moment and then agrees. Before leaving,
18:04he warns Tom that he might come back one day to kill Sean. I took a bullet and now you're trying to
18:08take my money. Soon they leave the apartment together. In the car, Tom pretends he's calling
18:13a private jet company for Jimmy, but he's actually calling Hawkins and the FBI. He tells them they'll
18:18stop at the bank before heading to the airport. Jimmy gets suspicious, but before he can hear the
18:23phone call, Tom hangs up. When they arrive at the bank, they are greeted as usual. Tom transfers the
18:29money to Jimmy's account. Everything seems normal, but it's just a way to buy time. Get this man his
18:34money. Thank you very much, but no problem. Just hit enter and it'll be yours. The FBI had already
18:40told the police that Jimmy was involved in the kidnapping. When Tom and Jimmy leave the bank,
18:45two officers try to arrest Jimmy. Can we talk to you for a second, man? No, we have to detain you.
18:51But he quickly pulls out a gun, shoots both officers, and runs into the street. Tom runs after him.
18:56They end up fighting in front of store. During the fight, Tom grabs Jimmy's gun and points it at him.
19:02The police officers arrive and shout at Tom to drop the gun, but Jimmy, although seriously wounded,
19:08reaches for another pistol hidden in his ankle. Drop the gun, Tom. Drop the gun. Tom sees what
19:12Jimmy is about to do and fires a shot. At the same time, Hawkins fires three more shots. All of them
19:19hit Jimmy and kill him. Over the top, but satisfying, no loose ends. Not long after, Kate arrives. She and Tom
19:26walk away together as the police take control of the scene. The movie ends as we see the persistent
19:31couple hugging and finally free from the threat of Jimmy's existence. More videos created just for
