Who Were The Lost Twenty?

The lost twenty are a little-known group within Star Wars. In this video, I'll explain who they are for those of you who don't know.

00:00The Lost Twenty are a very mysterious group in Star Wars because we only know of a few members.

00:07They were a group of Jedi Masters who peacefully left the Jedi Order for one reason or another.

00:14To become one of the Lost Twenty, a Jedi had to have fulfilled two requirements.

00:20Firstly, they had to have achieved the rank of Master within the Order.

00:25Secondly, they had to leave the Jedi Order in a peaceful way.

00:30By the time of the Prequel Trilogy, there were obviously 20 Jedi Masters that were a part of this group.

00:37Statues of them can be seen in the Jedi Archives during Attack of the Clones.

00:42The most prominent member of the Lost Twenty is actually none other than Count Dooku.

00:47He was once a prominent Jedi Master, but decided to leave the Order when he became disillusioned with the Republic and the Jedi.

00:56When he left, he did so peacefully and was even allowed to keep his lightsaber.

01:02Not only that, he was also allowed to visit the Jedi Temple whenever he wanted, and even sometimes met with the Jedi Council.

01:09It was only later that Dooku decided to join up with Darth Sidious and become a Sith Lord.

01:15A few other members of the Lost Twenty are named in books and comics, but most of them remain unknown, at least so far.

01:25You know, that would actually make a really good animated series.

01:28We could spend a few episodes with each member talking about why they left and what they did afterward.

01:36Anyway, there are many people who left the Order, but aren't part of the Lost Twenty for one of two reasons.

01:43Either they weren't Jedi Masters, like Ahsoka Tano, who left peacefully but was only a Padawan at the time.

01:51Or, they didn't leave peacefully.
