Here are a number of redevelopment projects that will change the face of the city.

00:00There are a number of developments currently in progress across Glasgow that will dramatically change the face of the city over the next decades.
00:07A new policy to encourage the development of high-rise buildings has been passed by the Council,
00:12which is expected to see the skyline transform while a series of other projects are underway to change existing structures.
00:20Here are some major developments that are about to shape Glasgow's future.
00:23Firstly, the O2 ABC. It was damaged in the Glasgow School of Art fire in 2018 while the debris has been left to rot at the centre of Suckey Hall Street ever since.
00:35Glasgow City Council has just approved the Vita Group's bid to replace the music venue with a public food hall and student flats.
00:43Then George Square. Closed to the public earlier this month that has began an 18-month redevelopment
00:49that will see higher quality stone throughout, informal play areas for children and sensory gardens,
00:56raised lawn platforms, new tree species added, new seating and new feature lighting.
01:02Next, a £150 million deal to transform the former Marks and Spencers on Suckey Hall Street was approved in October.
01:10Then the UK's largest provider of student accommodation, Unite Students, has begun construction of a new property just north of the River Clyde with a 3,200-bed portfolio.
01:24Following on, construction is underway on a new development in Pollockshaws Road that will bring 50 modern, energy-efficient homes for social rent to Glasgow's south side.
01:34And finally, a new development in Kelton will feature new student accommodation, rented apartments, a park and a contemporary arts centre.
