00:00So today I'm out and about in the Southern Trust area visiting some community-based facilities.
00:06This is Mount Zion in Lurgan and I'm with Praxis Care who are running a mental health facility
00:12here and I've had a good chat with three of the service users and hearing about the advantages
00:16of being able to to come here and share experiences and the comfort that that gives them. Earlier I
00:23was in Portadown at the Meadows Day Centre that's one of eight day facilities run by the Trust
00:31and they are able to cater for no fewer than 884 service users every single week and again there's
00:38an awful lot of community spirit an awful lot of sharing of people coming together who are generally
00:45isolated and coming together in the comfort of knowing that there are people there who really care
00:50and I always talk about we need buildings, beds, equipment of medicine to deliver healthcare
00:57but the most important thing of all is the workforce and everywhere I go I meet wonderful people
01:03totally professional but also entirely compassionate and empathetic.
