00:00Murders start happening at a very fast clip.
00:03Parade?
00:06Hi.
00:07Oh my god, I wish I had that kind of control over my career.
00:11It was really wild, though, that Nick and I spent two months
00:14doing this movie, and then a year.
00:16And I thought, this will be the only time
00:18I ever get this experience.
00:19Like, why would I ever be asked back to Rome?
00:24And then I got another job in Rome.
00:28Did I mention it was in Capri?
00:30Capri?
00:31Yes, she is in.
00:32We're all in.
00:33So it was so wild to get to go back.
00:35And strangely, another murder comedy.
00:38I don't know what's happening.
00:40I would say it was fun, blood, and mud.
00:47Well, that was really helpful that Nick and I were friends.
00:50We've been friends for a long time.
00:51And so when we got onto set and we were
00:53going to be playing this couple, we kind of already
00:56had a little bit of a shorthand with each other.
00:59But yes, it was very nice to actually get
01:02to see him and act to his face and not just his voice.
01:06That was a plus.
01:08The warning label I'd put on Dom is
01:10that he's going to seem calm and cool and collected.
01:13But underneath, he's a little bit anxious.
01:16He loves his husband more than he wants to admit.
01:19And boy, he wants a kid more than anything.
01:23And David and Brian, it's based in part in a couple stories
01:28from their life.
01:29And I knew them a bit beforehand.
01:31And then I know their son now, who they worked really hard to adopt.
01:36And so there's a real underlying joy and happiness inside of this movie
01:40that feels like a crazy murder farce.
01:44Oh, I mean, the crazy sort of turn that happens in this movie about halfway through.
01:49If you just saw, if you just started watching, you'd think,
01:52oh, this is like a fun rom-com with me and Andrew Rannells.
01:56And then there's a major turn.
01:58Murders start happening at a very fast clip.
02:01And I think that element is going to surprise people.
02:05But it also ends up being super high stakes, but also really funny and thrilling as well.
02:11You know, the script was really fun.
02:12We didn't need or want to improvise that much because the script was really well written.
02:17But David and Brian always gave us room to improvise, find new moments.
02:22A couple of my favorite moments in the movies are improvs that Andrew did.
02:25There's one kind of near the end where we've just killed our I don't know how many person by accident.
02:30And he's like, we can't do this when we go back to L.A.
02:33And it just caught me by surprise when he said it.
02:36And I just started cracking up.
02:38And we had to do it a few times before I could get my act together to finish the take.
02:43But there are moments like that that you just you can try to write, but you just can't find until you're in the moment.
02:48And I'm really I'm really proud of how funny the script was, but then also the moments that we were able to find along the way.
