00:00all right i'm just gonna have a quick talk about this one it's a very cheap little diamond

00:12sharpener handheld 400 grit 600 grit and yeah i would suggest it's going to be a little bit

00:26challenging to use but i did sharpen this rat too ah it came up all right i had to use magnification

00:44for my eyesight and i basically had it on top of something so i can get to the edge and i very

00:50carefully just sharpened it trying to maintain the bevel the angle i did it both ways then i

01:00tried to deburr it as best as i could i spent maybe all of about three or four minutes sharpening

01:07it takes hair off it's very it's new so it's uh this diamond is still a bit coarse i mean

01:28you run your fingers over it i can't tell the difference between 400 and 600 the 600 might

01:35be just a fraction smoother but uh it leaves a pretty sort of toothy edge behind oh yeah

01:44i can feel that running my fingernail over it's like it's like a hacksaw blade like a little

01:50micro hacksaw blade so but the thing is it works i think what this would be best for is like

01:58maybe a scandy edge knife a nice scandy edge knife i reckon this would be a fantastic companion for that

02:08on a regular knife my eyesight isn't good enough to see up close anymore i need magnification

02:16so for that no but uh i think for a scandy i think this would be great

02:25it's just too small for uh doing this stuff and not only that but it's so close to the ground and

02:34you'd need to put the diamond on top of something then you need to hold it and you're sharpening one

02:40handed and blah blah blah so it is a little bit mickey mouse okay it's just a little bit

03:00uh yeah it's just a teeny weeny a little bit mickey mouse but it works but i think where this would

03:10work really well is with your scandy edge knife nice big flat area and just sort of clean it up and

03:18sharpen your knife i think that'd be excellent for that so it wasn't much it's only a few dollars

03:26so i don't know if it really hurts to have one so that's it that's all i've got to say about it
