Nine people charged under Strike Force Vandehei-Wilkinson

Riverina Police District commander Superintendent Andrew Spliet updates on Strike Force Vandehei-Wilkinson after nine more people charged in drug investigations in Wagga and Tumut.

00:00The third day of our policing operation was undertaken yesterday.

00:06As a result of that operation we had a further nine people that were arrested

00:11and 19 charges were laid against those individuals.

00:14Those offences relate to drug related offences being supply and possess of prohibited drugs.

00:20Also a male for possessing ammunition.

00:24Also some people for possession of knives and similar cutting objects.

00:30We had a male that was in the tumoured area.

00:34He was arrested on some outstanding warrants as well as aggravated breaking in offence.

00:41At the time of arrest there was a search conducted of his premises

00:45and police located approximately a kilo and a half of cannabis.

00:49So there's been a lot of good police work done in that regard

00:54in relation to the drug related side of things.
