00:00Over the past three decades I have worked alongside some of the most dedicated women and men in policing.
00:07I have seen first-hand their sacrifice, their professionalism and their unwavering commitment to keeping our communities safe.

00:19I also recognise the public scrutiny that comes with this role.
00:24I have made mistakes in the past and I have been open about them.
00:28I have always sought to learn from those experiences and to lead with honesty, accountability and integrity.
00:35Public confidence is earned, not just by big results, but by consistency, transparency and treating people fairly.
00:44That responsibility means fronting up to challenges directly, listening to the community and working tirelessly to deliver a police force that people can believe in.
00:54A police force that keeps them safe.
