00:18abuse of deep fakes and artificial intelligence systems to affect the outcome of the 2024
00:24presidential election. Some AI images are pretty obviously fake, but others can fool even a critical
00:31eye. So if you notice a family member or friend sharing fake content, experts suggest a few things.
00:37The head of digital literacy at Virginia Tech says be, quote, generous and empathetic to discreetly
00:43point out the mistake. Experts also suggest you put some thought into what you'll say before making
00:48the phone call. Quote, a gentle nudge from a friend can go a long way in building awareness.
00:54And most importantly, just because they share it online doesn't mean you need to correct them
