00:00Bradford City CEO Ryan Sparks has spoken of how pleased he is at the club have managed to do early business in the summer transfer window so far, bringing in four new players to the club.
00:12Really pleased, you know, there's always a temptation, you want to get the squad built as quickly as possible and we've seen some of our best signings have arrived in the last couple of days of windows and weeks of windows.
00:23It doesn't mean that the plans aren't there, but you have to sometimes wait as well. There are multiple players spinning. I speak to David, Stephen, the manager daily about where we go, what we do, should we do this, should we wait on that one.
00:38There's some really exciting players on the table. There is a huge amount of competition for them.
00:43But in my opinion, you know, we are fishing in the right parts. We're looking at the right players and you can see that because the teams that are looking to sign these players are teams that have ambitions in League One, as do we.
00:58So, yes, it's a great start. There is a lot of work to do. We obviously have to strengthen our squad and I'm looking forward to seeing that pans out in the next eight to twelve weeks.
01:10And the latest of Bradford's incomings, Josh Neufill, has also made clear just how happy he was to get the deal to the club done so early in the window.
01:19Yeah, I think initially I always wanted to get things done early. I always have done.
01:24But for me, it was crucial that I got it done early so I can bed myself into a football club, into the area.
01:30It's obviously a different area compared to what I'm, not to what I'm used to, but obviously I've moved from Surrey, went to Luton and now I'm up in Bradford.
01:38So settling in, I'm going to have to settle in with the players. And I know a few of the lads are ready, but I know it'll be a good group, given speaking to players that have obviously previously been here.
01:49And yeah, no, it should be good. Hungry to get in with the lads and understand what the group's about.
01:55I've heard a lot about different characters in the group, spoken to players that have been here previously and they've told me a lot about that.
02:02Pre-season is obviously going to come thick and fast and my season only finished around two weeks ago, I believe.
02:08So listen, I'm raring to go in terms of getting back out on the pitch and showing what everyone wants, what I can do.
