00:00Bradford City manager Graeme Alexander described his side's performance away at Stoke City in the Carabao Cup as brilliant as the Bantams won 3-0 on the night to see them progress to the third round of the competition against the Championship side.
00:15Brilliant evening for every one of us here. I thought it was an unbelievable performance. I thought the players were so good in and out of possession. It was like, honestly, I've just said to them there one word. Well, that's all I felt. It was just from start to finish, the discipline, the structure, the composure in possession, then obviously the clinical edge to score three goals and then just maintain that all the way through the performance, all the way through.
00:45And I'm extremely pleased with every single one. And you see the reaction from the crowd at the end. They're in dreamland. It was a really good night for us.
00:55Another goal in the first few minutes of a game. The players really earned it from the whistle, weren't they, to that?
01:00Yeah, I just... Good to see their confidence in possession, their commitment and their trust with their team-mate. There was no one looking behind themselves. They were just fixated on where they had to be for their team.
01:13And Leeds United were dumped out of this season's Carabao Cup away at Sheffield Wednesday on penalties, with new signing Dominic Carver-Lewin missing his spot kick.
01:24Yes, of course. We were the favorite today. And if you then lose the game as a favorite, there's nothing positive to find about this.
01:33Yes, we were all involved in this type of football game, where one team is playing, could speak about all this stuff, whatever, 80% possession, 24 shots.
01:42They had nothing unexpected goals, and we had more or less expected goals for four, five, six goals.
01:49If you have this type of game, when out of whatever, 20 corner kicks and wide arrow free kicks, you don't score.
01:56If you miss chances out of four or five yards, yes, and then it's always written as far as the opponent is one time in your box and score out of a situation where it's not even a chance.
02:04It's more or less, I think, we'll probably go down as our own goal or half own goal, whatever.
02:10Yes, then it can happen that you lose such a game.
