00:00Well, it was an informal interaction and the members of the various delegations shared their impressions with the Prime Minister.
00:12The Prime Minister heard everybody out and it was interactive and he conveyed his own impressions.
00:22So, on the whole, it was a very informal and a freewheeling conversation and most importantly, everybody was able to share whatever inputs they had collected across various nations.
00:40So, it was a holistic, comprehensive conversation.
00:43But, sir, how do you see this whole process of exposing Pakistan at the international level, the initiative done by this region government because from the day one and till today and what was the message from the Prime Minister?
01:04How to take this forward?
01:05What are the feedbacks from the countries, foreign countries?
01:08How to take it forward and how do you see the whole process?
01:10Well, diplomacy is about incrementalism and consolidating the gains of that incrementalism.
01:17There are certain seeds which have been planted by the various delegations which went across the world, talked to their interlocutors in different countries.
01:27And now it is for the Foreign Office to really build on this initiative and to take it to the next level to proscribe Pakistan, which is a state sponsor of terror, on the global stage.
01:43On the whole, the visits laid the foundation for forming a global coalition against the state sponsorship of terror without really getting into the minefield of terminology, which has befuddled and has not allowed the comprehensive convention on global terrorism, which has been languishing in the UN since the mid-90s from moving forward.
02:12So, on the whole, this is an initiative which, if taken to a logical conclusion, would definitely help in proscribing all those states which use terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
02:31And Pakistan is the principal epicenter of the chicanery, whose role is very well documented, not only in the export of terror, but even in nuclear and missile technology proliferation.
02:46And so, the Pakistan has also followed the suit, but with what the initiative was taken by our country, they have also sent a delegation in the various countries.
02:59And although the opposition parties in our country, they are sticking to this point, they are saying this, that our foreign policy is not on the right path as the Pakistan has got the anti-terrorist committee, vice chairman, Pakistan has been appointed at the UNSC.
03:21Well, first of all, Pakistan's track record in fermenting terror, not only in South Asia, but across the world, is very well documented.
03:35The fact is that Osama bin Laden was not found in Allahabad, he was found in Abbottabad.
03:39The doctor, who had helped in tracing Osama bin Laden, still continues to languish in Pakistani custody.
03:49Now, these are incontrovertible facts, which are very well known across the world.
03:56And so, therefore, the Pakistani delegations obviously will have to contend with all the baggage and the toxic legacy which they have perpetrated.
04:06And I don't think that whatever initiative they have taken in response to the diplomatic outreach by India would really bear any fruit.
