India refutes Shehbaz Sharif’s victory claim during conflict in May

India has delivered a sharp rebuttal to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's address at the United Nations, accusing Islamabad of glorifying terrorism and distorting facts. First Secretary in India's permanent mission to the UN, Petal Ghelot, stated that terrorism is central to Pakistan's foreign policy. Ghelot referenced Pakistan shielding "The Resistance Front," a terror outfit, at the UN Security Council on 25th April, 2025, following the massacre of tourists in Jammu and Kashmir. Countering claims about a recent conflict, India stated that Pakistan's military pleaded for a cessation of fighting on 10th May after Indian forces destroyed multiple Pakistani airbases. The Indian diplomat added, "If destroyed runways and burnt out hangars look like victory, as the Prime Minister claimed, Pakistan is welcome to enjoy it." India also highlighted the Pahalgam terror attack as evidence of Pakistan's role in sponsoring terrorism.

00:16at Pakistan, alleged that Pakistan is glorifying terrorism and terrorism is actually central to

00:22their foreign policy. Pointing to Pakistan's record on terrorism, Ghelot highlighted Islamabad's

00:27role in the Pahlgaon terror attack. Ghelot reminded UN Assembly that Pakistan had shielded a Pakistani

00:33sponsored terror outfit earlier this year at the UN Security Council after the massacre of

00:38tourists in Jammu and Kashmir. Mr. President, this Assembly witnessed absurd theatrics in the morning

00:47from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, who once again glorified terrorism that is so central to their

00:53foreign policy. This is the very same Pakistan which, at the UN Security Council on 25th April

01:002025, shielded the resistance front, a Pakistani-sponsored terror outfit from the responsibility

01:08of carrying out the barbaric massacre of tourists in the Indian Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

01:14Its ministers have just recently acknowledged that they have been operating terrorist camps for

01:20decades. It should come as no surprise that once again this duplicity continues, this time at the

01:27level of its Prime Minister. Can there be any doubt about the proclivities of this regime?

01:33The Prime Minister of Pakistan also advanced a bizarre account of the recent conflict with India.

01:39The record on this matter is clear. Till 9th May, Pakistan was threatening more attacks on India,

01:45but on 10th May, its military pleaded with us directly for a cessation to the fighting.

01:52The intervening event was the destruction caused to multiple Pakistani air bases by Indian forces.

01:58The pictures of that damage are, of course, publicly accessible. If destroyed runways and burnt-out

02:04hangars look like victory, as the Prime Minister claimed, Pakistan is welcome to enjoy it.

02:09The truth is that as in the past, Pakistan is responsible for a terrorist attack on innocent

02:16civilians in India. We have exercised the right to defend our people against such actions and have

02:22brought the organizers and perpetrators to justice. Absolutely, Pakistan doesn't have the facts

02:27with them. And therefore, the Pakistani Prime Minister is lying, all the leaders are lying about

02:33what happened in Operation Sindhu. And the fact remains that how Indian armed forces destroyed

02:40various Pakistani air bases, which remained the fact, because that fact was shared by none other

02:46than the Pakistani audience, Pakistani people. And those are available as part of the social media

02:52evidences by the Pakistani people. And in fact, Pakistani people are also questioning the Pakistani

02:57authorities, Pakistani military. However, Pakistan has, you know, chose to look other way.

03:04And therefore, the Pakistani army chief has taken a rank above and he has become field marshal,

03:11Pakistani Prime Minister going around the world and talking about all these things.

03:15But Pakistani lies get exposed by the statement given by the Indian diplomat, Petal Gairot.

03:20And if you see the statement, India rightly pointed it out that if the destruction of the Pakistani

03:26armed forces, Pakistani air bases and Pakistani military installations is victory, then Pakistan is

03:33welcome to enjoy that victory. Besides that, India also exposed the fact that, you know, Pakistan remains

03:39the biggest sponsor of the terrorism. Pakistan remains a country which harbors the largest number of UN

03:45sanctioned terror output as well as the UN sanctioned terror organizations.
