00:00So I think it's not the issue of nepotism, it's the issue of political dynasty.
00:05And talking about political dynasty is not only a unique feature of Malaysia.
00:09She won the position because she was voted by the Pawakiland.
00:15That's why she was there.
00:16Should he loss to Rafizi?
00:19Would people call him nepotism?
00:21I'm not sure.
00:22But because he won that position and because he is, she is, the daughter of Anwar,
00:28then people started accusing of nepotism.
00:31I'm wondering, when I was in Bersatu, the chairman of Bersatu was Tun Mahathir,
00:39and then the deputy president of Bersatu was Mukherjeev Mahathir.
00:44But there was never an issue of nepotism.
00:48And Najib Tun Razah was a former president of UMNO.
00:52And we have got his son in Pemuda UMNO.
00:57But why there was no, there's not an issue of nepotism.
01:01In Paz, for example, you have Aji Hadi as a president,
01:06and you have his son-in-law in Dewan Ulama.
01:09You have his son in Biru Antarabangsa of Paz.
01:14And before him, it was the late Tuan Guru, Nick Aziz, and his son, you know, became Wakil Rakyat.
01:23And there was no issue of nepotism.
01:25And, I mean, if you look at DAP, it's more interesting.
01:29You've got the family of Limbs, and you've got the family of Karpals everywhere.
01:34Not only one son or one daughter.
01:36I mean, the whole family was there.
01:37So I think it's not the issue of nepotism, it's the issue of political dynasty.
01:43And talking about political dynasty, it's not only a unique feature of Malaysia.
01:47You see, in the U.S., obviously, in Singapore, our neighbor, you have the big Lee and the small Lee.
01:56But luckily, we don't have another smallest Lee in the picture.
02:00But, I mean, that's normal.
02:02But nepotism would be a problem, would become a major problem if any of the leaders appointed directly his family members to a position that should be contested.
02:19Number one, or they've been given certain projects or certain tenders, certain perks that's supposed to be contested, that's supposed to be, let me say, tendered.
02:34But it was awarded directly to any of the family members.
02:38That is nepotism.
02:49That is nepotism.
