Former MCA Vice-President Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker called for MCA to redefine itself from 'ground zero' standing for multiculturalism, multilingualism and Malaysia’s multi-religious fabric, while also addressing the real struggles and political dilemmas of the Chinese community.
Drawing comparisons, Ti noted that while Tun Dr Mahathir made bold reforms when backed by a two-thirds majority, Prime Minister aAnwar Ibrahim (PMX) appears constrained despite similar support, instead adopting a political 'playbook' of persecution and managing sensitivities rather than leading decisively.
Now retired from active politics, Ti says he wishes to be a commentator, calling out political bluff and exposing gamesmanship.
