00:00You know, every five days, it's really exciting when Skeens pitches.

00:04And it's terrible watching him pitch because every time he pitches, they don't score.

00:10He never gets a win.

00:12But what is the deal?

00:14So he pitched into the eighth inning, gave up two hits, seven Ks, no decision.

00:19His ERA is 1.88.

00:20He has a 1.12 ERA in his last seven starts, only one win in those seven starts.

00:27Honestly, I guess it's like DeGrom, the year that he had the great ERA and never won because the Mets couldn't score runs.

00:34Isn't it frustrating to you to watch the Pirates, even though they swept the Phillies?

00:39Like, look, it was a Saturday 2-1, Sunday 2-1.

00:41They still can't score runs even when they win.

00:44Yeah.

00:45First of all, it was great to see you and the boys.

00:47And, you know, Mafia said it while we were just waiting.

00:50Having him hit the lineup probably would actually help when he pitches.

00:54There's no way to do it because you can't.

00:56But, yeah, it's beyond frustrating.

01:00And the numbers would tell you, you know, the books have adjusted.

01:04The Pirates are a clear under team.

01:06The numbers are so low.

01:09You saw it yesterday with Skeens on a Hill.

01:12Six and a half was the total.

01:13It still went under.

01:16I don't know what has to happen.

01:18They're not going to go out and get a bat.

01:22So, it's going to be a lot of grinding, a lot of low-scoring games.

01:27The pitching staff has been the best in baseball in the last 30 days as far as the starters.

01:33ERA.

01:34They're all following in line.

01:36Now, with the change of manager, they're getting guys in the right spots in the seventh and the eighth.

01:43Bednar has been rejuvenated since he went down early.

01:47So, Scotty, we got a shot at winning some games.

01:50Now, I don't know about – I mean, they're buried.

01:51I don't think they can come back and, you know, they get –

01:54What are they, 25 and 40?

01:56Yeah.

01:57It would be an unbelievable year and summer if they could do it.

02:02I just want to get them back to playing competitive baseball, which they are small favorites tonight against Miami.

02:08How many times have you seen a team 15 games under 500 get back to 500?

02:14Besides, like – I mean, it happens, like, once every 10 years.

02:19Like, who comes back from this?

02:21Like, the last one that I really remember in the book was 2019 when Washington was just floundering and was terrible.

02:31And then we got to the all-star break and they could not lose.

02:34And we were all in a really good position in the book on them and kept going, they're catching the Mets.

02:41They are going to do this.

02:43There's no doubt about it.

02:45We're not even close to that, even having that conversation with the Pirates, Scott.

02:49So, let's just enjoy the ride.

02:53Hopefully, they have a good week this week.

02:55Take two or three minimum.

02:56I'd like to see them win three more in a row from Miami, who's been really bad.

03:01The pitching matchups kind of set up nice.

03:04Burroughs tonight, Keller tomorrow, and then we'll see what happens on Wednesday.

03:08Wasn't Miami playing Tampa or something this weekend?

03:11Was that what it was?

03:12And they had a wild game.

03:14They had, like, this 13-12 game and the Marlins actually won a game against them.

03:19They did.

03:20That was the only one they won all week, which is fine.

03:23You know, those games down in Tampa are wild.

03:26The games out in Sacramento with the A's are wild.

03:30We'll see what happens tonight.

03:32But the Pirates' number, let's see, double check, is eight on the total.

03:36They're only minus 120, 125-ish.

03:40I feel like a, you know, kind of a mark, maybe a little bit, a homer.

03:44But the Pirates are going to win tonight.
