'We Had Very Good Talks': Trump Touts Progress In Trade Talks With China's Xi

Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, President Trump spoke about his phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

00:08What do you hope to see from those talks in London, sir?

00:11Oh, we're very far advanced on the China deal. We wanted clarification. We had to have clarification.

00:16It had a bumpy update.

00:18We had to have clarification.

00:21And that's what we're really having to do.

00:23We had a very good talk. I talked to President Xi for, I guess, more than two hours.

00:27We had a very good talk. It's a complicated deal.

00:31But it's a deal that brings us a lot of money and a lot of everything else.

00:37And we get along very well with President Xi and with China.

00:40Mr. President, on the one big beautiful bill.

00:42On Mr. Musk's contracts, do you feel like the U.S. can survive without them?

00:45Obviously, you could do a lot when it comes to defense and space.

00:48And that relationship has been important for quite some time.
