00:00Hello it's Kiara from Stock Journal. I am at Jamestown today just at the Rapid Relief Team
00:07Hay Drop and I'm standing in the middle of the Jamestown Oval just to give you some insight
00:14into what's been going on on the ground. So behind me is a range of trucks that are currently being
00:23unloaded and they're contributing to the hay that's being put here on the ground. There is
00:29a station over here where farmers are coming in and their couriers to pick up hay. Over
00:36here we've got a lineup of empty semi trailers and trucks. Behind the club rooms over here we have
00:43a tie down point so for the farmers that have been loaded they can get assistance from a group of
00:48volunteers to get their load strapped down and this here is the trucks left to be unloaded. So it's
00:56all hands on deck there's almost 50 volunteers here today followed by a few politicians and council
01:03members so it's great to see and the farmers have been trickling in this morning to grab some breakfast
01:10and also that'll continue on this afternoon through to get some lunch as well. So it's been a great
01:17morning here. It's been a wonderful event and we've had a good turnout and the rapid relief team put on a well
01:25organized show. We've been lucky enough to get a feed in it and yeah everyone's very fortunate to get this
01:32allocation of hay. Yeah and how many bales did you get? I was lucky enough to score 10 and had a very
01:37timely period too. I'm basically out of hay at home and this will give me a little bit of breathing space.
01:43We're glad to be here to support the farmers that are doing it tough from the drought.
01:47It's devastating drought. We've been following it and that's what we do. RRT we see a need
01:54and jump in and make it happen.
