00:00So there's a big three in this race, the top three finishers of the Kentucky Derby.
00:04And one of those was the winner of the Kentucky Derby, Sovereignty.
00:08The news kind of shocked some and maybe upset some that he was not going to run in the Preakness after winning the Kentucky Derby.
00:16But this is a trainer, Bill Mott, who has never really been good with running horses back quickly.
00:21And so it wasn't something that they even thought of.
00:24There were some quotes where he said, like, we didn't even think about running in the Preakness.
00:27It was never on our mind.
00:28And nonetheless, he's back now in the Belmont.
00:31And it sets up this matchup with Kentucky Derby winner against the Preakness winner.
00:36Sovereignty is one of those closers, though, that you were talking about, Alexa.
00:39The Kentucky Derby set up beautifully for him with all that early speed and the way that the track was playing.
00:47Also, he seemed to really like the wet track and the moisture there.
00:50So those are two things that he got on Kentucky Derby Saturday.
00:54I'm not sure if Sovereignty is going to get this weekend that pace.
00:57And we're not sure what the weather is going to be like.
00:59It looks like it might rain on Saturday.
01:01But I don't know if it's going to rain in the days leading up, like Thursday, Friday into Saturday.
01:05What do you think about the Derby winner in here?
01:07Yeah, I mean, obviously, talented horse.
01:09He won the Derby.
01:10Like you said, it did go his way that day, though.
01:12He's fresher than journalism.
01:14Some journalists who won the Preakness and got second in the Derby.
01:17So if journalism wins this, I mean, he was very, very close to being a Triple Crown winner.
01:22And so it is kind of this setup and showdown, right, to see who the best is.
01:27And Sovereignty has a leg up on him having that rest time where journalism has run two really tough, big races in such a short amount of time.
01:35So, I mean, yeah, Sovereignty is super talented.
01:37He absolutely can win this race.
01:39But, yeah, I don't know.
01:44I don't – I'm not using him in here, actually.
01:46I have him on the lower part of my tickets because I just think, from what I've seen, some others in here have shown more grit and have shown that they overcome more, like, race scenarios than Sovereignty has.
01:58Maybe a little more adaptable.
01:59Maybe a little versatile, right?
02:00They can kind of – like you're saying, however this race shapes up, they might be able to put up a good effort.
