00:00Here are some dad-approved hacks for packing a cooler.

00:03First step, add ice to the bottom of your cooler and sprinkle salt over top.

00:07The salt and water mixture will melt, but it will end up being colder than if the ice was just frozen on its own.

00:14When packing a cooler, it's important to get really crafty,

00:17so you want to think about what's in your kitchen that you can use to build shelves inside the cooler.

00:21Ziploc bags are great, but you can also use the bread bag that your bread came in to make your sandwiches.

00:27Once you make your sandwiches, you put them back into the bread bag.

00:30Fear not. A cheese board will make it to that picnic or the beach or camping.

00:35Just make sure that it's packed on the top of your cooler and wrapped in saran wrap.

00:40You can use the twist tie from the bread bag to tie up your forks. Easy as that.

00:44Don't forget to shut your cooler. You want everything to stay nice and cold.
