00:00I mean, you've been around for a long time.
00:01You've been in this game 21 and 11 and won no contest for your record.
00:05But you fought everywhere.
00:06You fought in the UFC.
00:07You fought in Bellator.
00:08You fought in the PFL.
00:11So what for you, you're at this point in your career.
00:14How do you feel like these travels and going to these different organizations
00:16and seeing different things has, you know, helped you grow
00:19and become a better fighter even at your age as you are right now?
00:23You know, I'm just blessed and fortunate that I still get big opportunities.
00:30You know, being in the game as long as I am
00:33and, like, literally fighting in every show, all the major organizations,
00:38I'm just very blessed and fortunate that I still get these opportunities
00:41to go out there and put on a show.
00:43You know, I am definitely at the tail end.
00:47Most likely at the end of the year I'll be done.
00:49But I just want to kick some ass and, you know,
00:51put a stamp on this legacy on my way out.
00:55Well, we look forward to seeing, you know, the next year or so of your career
00:59as you close this chapter.
01:00And, of course, you know, there's going to be more things for you
01:03coming in the future that we look forward to.
01:04And I'm sure one of those things is, you know, focusing even more,
01:06I mean, as you already do, but even more so with, you know, your parenting.
01:10And, you know, I want to give you some props and some commentation there for,
01:15you know, I saw the one fight outfit you had.
01:17You have a son.
01:17Obviously, you have a child with autism.
01:19Autism and, you know, the awareness you brought and that you focused on
01:22with your one fight, the, you know, the walkout stuff that you had on,
01:27your shorts, your robe, everything with the puzzle piece, of course,
01:30a great symbol of autism awareness.
01:32How has that helped you, you know, mature and grow as a father and a person
01:36and a fighter, you know, dealing and doing with that every day?
01:41You know, the one thing that stands out the most,
01:45especially when you're dealing with having children that are special needs,
01:49is just patience to really, really learn to be patient,
01:54as patient as possible.
01:55And I've always been a pretty patient dude,
01:58but this is definitely, you know, made that skill set a lot easier to deal with.
02:08And, you know, it's, you know, he's a special kid.
02:14And, you know, I actually have a neighbor who his kids are both special needs, too.
02:18And yesterday we actually had a sit down and talk about, like, you know,
02:22like nothing ruffles our feathers anymore.
02:27You know, dealing with what we're doing with our children,
02:29nothing else ruffles our feathers anymore.
02:31Nothing.
02:32Road rage, all that kind of stuff that, you know,
02:33that you kind of are impatient with on a daily basis.
02:36None of that bothers us anymore.
02:38You know, I guess we just see things in the bigger picture.
02:41It certainly does.
02:44And as someone who has, you know,
02:45special needs children and their extended family as well,
02:48I, you know, know where you're coming from
02:50and I appreciate everything you do.
02:51And now, you know, you do plenty of other things in your life as well.
02:55But, of course, fighting is the one that we know you for the most.
02:57And you got this great fight coming against Valente right now.
03:01What drew you to Lights Out as your next organization?
03:03As I said, you fought at all different organizations.
03:05You fought guys like Tiago Alves and Bilal Mohamed and the UFC.
03:08Now you're fighting in this great organization with Lights Out and Sean Merriman.
03:11What drew you to it?
03:12And how important is this fight for you coming off a couple of losses here
03:16to, as you said earlier, you know, cement that legacy for your fight career?
03:21You know, this, it's definitely a fun fight.
03:23I had a couple options, you know.
03:24But like I said, you know, I want to have some fun.
03:27You know, I got two to three fights left.
03:29And I want to go out there and put on a show.
03:32And, you know, I've sparred with him before.
03:34I've seen him in the gym once, and I know me and him can put on a show.
03:39And that's what I want to do, man.
03:42I want to go out with a bang.
