Have you ever made any of these wallet-draining mistakes??
Transcript
00:00If you've got a trip coming up, don't make these travel mistakes. They're easy to avoid,
00:04but they can cost you big time. First is not having a real ID. You can no longer fly domestically
00:08in the U.S. without one. Your regular driver's license won't work unless it's real ID compliant,
00:12so you'll want to check for the little star or the flag in the corner. You can still use a
00:15passport, but don't assume that a standard license is enough. Next, converting currency at the
00:19airport. The rate at these kiosks is terrible. You'll lose money before your trip even starts.
00:25So instead, order foreign currency ahead of time through your bank or just use a debit card at a
00:29local ATM when you land. Even better is if you have a credit card with no foreign transaction fees.
00:33Finally, skipping your travel insurance. And our flight got canceled. This is not just for worst
00:38case scenarios. Lost luggage, canceled flights, and medical emergencies happen so much more often
00:43than you think, and they can cost you thousands of dollars. Always protect your trip and your
00:46wallet, especially if you're going abroad.
