New South Wales police are searching for a 50-year-old man, after a man in his 80s was killed in a house fire in Sydney's Inner West, this morning. Firefighters were called to the home at Croydon just after four o'clock.

00:00Police have established a strike force to investigate how the fire, which claimed the life of an 80-year-old man, begun here in Croydon in Sydney's inner west.
00:12Just after 4am, emergency services were called to the home in the street behind me to report of a house fire.
00:19The fire had completely engulfed the home and 22 firefighters took 40 minutes to get the flames under control, with the roof of that house actually collapsing while those firefighters were inside the home.
00:33Luckily, none of them were injured though.
00:36Police then tragically located the body of a man inside that home.
00:41That was that 80-year-old male.
00:43A crime scene has now been established and a woman is assisting police with inquiries at Burwood Police Station.
00:51But police are also urging a 50-year-old male to come forward.
00:56They believe he may have some information that will be able to assist them with this fire and how it started.
01:03He's being described as about 180 centimetres tall, a medium to large build, with short hair.
01:11They believe he may be using Sydney's public transport network, particularly around Circular Quay.
01:18And police said that he is related to both the deceased male and the woman that is helping police with inquiries.
