00:45they did one thing i noticed this weekend watching the games their struggles and where their struggles

00:51are starting and is that your lead and that is my lead sounds like a good lead yes and even my

00:57son agrees with and he's been well it is it was another great it was another great weekend for

01:03curtis though because he's been on the fact that trevor story is just like a nothing burger and has

01:08been for us and we were so excited about him like the started off pot and then he fell off see like

01:14five for 25 or something crazy i think marcello mayor has more hits than he does in the last two

01:20months and mayor's been here for five days he looks good that american he looks good i would just say

01:25this watching this season unravel has sort of reinvigorated my belief in good teams and what

01:36they possess because there isn't a winning quotient to this team everybody is worried about how they are

01:42being perceived how they are going to be utilized and there's zero forethought on how they will actually

01:48maybe take a step back for the better of the organization yeah and it's not deborah's fault i don't

01:54know if it's anybody's fault specifically but what an off i mean john i i think chris sununu may have

02:01been right about cora i i said i want to apologize to mego i went after her on the weekend show a couple

02:07weeks ago saying that missoula was not a better coach than than uh than alex cora but i i feel like

02:13greg would be a better manager than alex cora i mean you can't say nothing bad about devas i mean

02:18guys hitting the ball well yeah no i mean he's hitting the ball he's uh he's in that role he's

02:23fantastic i just don't you know at some point that i guess asking him to do a little something

02:32extra effed with the chemistry or whatever it was what like if there was chemistry or whatever but

02:38it's it's not anywhere near what the expectation was and i know it's a long season but it's the

02:46end of may like at like we're at we're at the end of may here well they're digging themselves a major

02:52hole because yeah your division stinks but you're putting yourself so far behind the yankees uh what

02:57are they six or seven and a half games uh back from the yankees so you keep digging yourself a big hole i

03:04know you got two series against them in june and maybe again you can kind of um catch up some

03:10distance there but when you look at this team i don't think you can blame front office at all you

03:15asked what i mean crochet was look good again last uh yesterday afternoon out there whaling and

03:21dealing you know it's just your your your bats have been struggling no i mean i if you were going

03:28like curtis is right like it you may have to you may have to question uh alex cora and and what he's

03:35bringing to the table i don't think there's is there anybody who's blaming the front office for where

03:40they are i i wouldn't i'm not saying they are but i don't you know you know how people tend to be like

03:46oh breslow there sam kennedy that i think as far as the front office they did their job now i understand

03:53bregman's you know banged up a little bit but you were able to go out there and and get the pieces

03:58that you needed has there been any loss this year that has elicited the response that cora had when

04:04he missed a game because of a graduation and to me that just encapsulates everything like i don't

04:10want to relitigate it all i'm saying is he was more bothered by people saying he should be at fenway park

04:15than he's been for any of these losses no what does that tell you like i just i sit back and it's

04:21everybody worried about themselves and now it's cora versus breslow believe me brad foe and others are

04:26getting each side they're all trying to save their spot on the titanic like i it's such a team that is

04:34bereft of anybody you really want to support outside of the young guys like crochet yeah you know that 85

04:41pitch night makes even less sense in hindsight the whole thing is just bizarre it's like we're playing

04:47the long game and now we're you know treading water against awful teams they suck that game

04:52yesterday what's the point of making it three to two if you're just gonna lose like kick you in the

05:06you know i i said it back then and i'm and i'm gonna keep on saying signing alex score was a mistake

05:12they should have moved on it was because what is literally nobody said that you call every day

05:20you never said that once i said it i i was again when they signed alex score back when he was debating

05:28went to sign in the middle of the season i said they should move on from they should not have signed

05:33him and i'm gonna say it because he's not bringing nothing to the table in the middle in the middle of

05:38the season last year david they were way above what anybody predicted in the middle of the year

05:44they were still in the pennant race i think they were five to ten games over 500 i agree curse but

05:49but what i'm trying to say is how long have you been a manager and and every year is the same thing

05:55it's it's like getting your hopes up and then they shut you down and if you at some point the fans

06:01are getting upset and they're going to be like if this happens again this year fans are going to be

06:05pissed and you know it curtis you know you're a baseball guy i am you know it yeah i would say

06:11that he's not he's not just a baseball guy he's a savant well it's very nice of you greg i got that

06:17instead of a pay raise um the the red socks this year is the first year from my point of view that you

06:23can really attack cora because before this management in the front office and ownership didn't support him

06:30in the ways he needed well i would say this what other what other local team would the manager or

06:36head coach still be there if they had finished last place three of the last four years none and granted

06:43it is the relationship that cora has with henry and for whatever reason that is you know who the hell

06:51knows what pitches cora has on henry but any other team locally if the manager and i don't care about

06:58the front office and maybe them not getting pieces if the manager or the coach of the head

07:03coach of that team finished three uh uh last place three of the past four years they would not be here

07:10not only that but after two last place finishes you get re-signed right like that's that that's the

07:16craziest thing to me because we had a bill belichick two seasons three seasons that were not good

07:21before he got the boot but they weren't re-signing him to a long extension before the end of the

07:26people want missoula gone and he got right he got you a chip and you know granted you're lost in the

07:31second round of the playoffs people look at cassidy he i'm not excuse me not cassidy montgomery he was

07:36shipped out of there and what was that two years after setting an nhl record but you still have

07:41players who speak so highly of cora like during spring training but you're coming off a really

07:46really really bad season and all of them can only talk about how they wanted to play for alex cora how

07:51it's different here how they've never been on a team where the manager does so much for them off

07:55the field like it but they've mostly did he did have a lot of cookouts yes during spring training

08:01yeah if alex cora was fired or not not re-signed or extended last year he would have been the

08:07highest paid manager in baseball getting the first job he wanted to have yeah i don't know about that

08:12one okay i do well a lot to get into yeah on a two for tuesday back to work after the long weekend

08:20and at least the weather is here curtis right unofficially we're we're in summer and are we

08:26gonna feel like 80 out there today is that correct gorgeous gorgeous day today enjoy it before more

08:31unsettled weather comes later in the week all right and a short week for us when it comes to being in

08:36the studio because we are back on the road on thursday and headed to newport for road show number

08:42three and again we talked a lot about it on friday but i have got to thank every single one of you

08:49who came out thursday night or came out on friday at the lobster trap the turnout was

08:55unbelievable for this for this road show and it is we're off to a good start here so that was a

09:01really good turnout really good it was it was awesome and everybody was in a great mood friday

09:05starting the weekend off and they they did dave and his team at the lobster trap did a great job

09:11with everything on friday morning and it was it was uh i know i'm not supposed to say it but it was

09:16chef's kiss whole thing was chef's kiss shine didn't you enjoy it i loved it i was so glad

09:21to be there thank you for having me i noticed that you obtained i don't know if this is your

09:24lead or not but obtained some sort of long desired pokemon card over the weekend is that uh is that

09:29what i noticed uh well yeah i did actually i uh obtained my uh felt hat pikachu this weekend

09:35it was uh quite the moment uh and by the way greg uh ken captain he's our alex cora uh attacking shy

09:45saturday morning oh what was about pizzagate oh oh really saying he had a whole pizza i had a whole

09:53pizza we all saw it my lead may involve pizzagate wow okay what's the gate is big what are we doing

10:01okay yeah i was on that for okay so i embarrass myself enough we don't need to go fabricating

10:07stories no no i'm not fabricating anything i saw you eat two uh four slices total thank you but

10:13you are a fraud oh okay it's like last time when courtney and i'm gonna go on courtney's side

10:20because remember shine was like oh i only ate you know sushi but he was at the he there was pictures

10:26of him or at least somebody courtney know of him wolfing down um boneless spare ribs like they

10:31were going on yeah i don't remember i haven't had boneless in quite some time they were at some type

10:36of sushi and low and i was like yeah i only had a little bit of sushi and courtney was like well

10:42i had some people my cousin was there yeah said you were yeah throwing back egg rolls like really

10:47really oh i don't remember they were skittles yeah really yeah what about was he also was crab

10:53rangoon involved i believe it was

10:55how was that pucket greg was it gorgina uh it was gorgina over there and it was my daughter's uh it is

11:08today officially my daughter's 28th birthday i think i'm getting the date right yes i think today is the

11:16correct day happy birthday julia but it was nice how you kind of just spin zoned that like now it's

11:21officially the day i she i put up a picture on my instagram to say happy birthday to julia

11:27i meant happy birthday weekend to julia but apparently everybody as soon as i posted everybody started

11:34reaching out and saying happy birthday and then she had to respond to everybody and say thank you but

11:39tuesday is the day but i saw our guy peyton pritchard over there he and his very famous

11:47influencer wife emma yep uh very nice uh excellent uh crew that they had over there

11:53and very friendly fellow pete pritch seemed to be enjoying himself yeah he seems like a nice dude
