Oregon Ducks Coach Dan Lanning Addresses Community Service
Transcript
00:00As proud as I am of what we've been able to accomplish on the field in Oregon, I know
00:08that a lot of that's because I have the opportunity to be a great steward of the many gifts and
00:14the support that we have there at Oregon, but I'm just as proud of the work that we've
00:18done off the field.
00:19You know, something we've really poured into in our time there is a program we call Dug's
00:24do more and it's in our involvement, you know, really in community service, really in the
00:30area of Eugene and outside of, you know, we've built over 600 beds the last couple of years
00:35and I'm talking about the players cutting the wood, screwing the beds together for kids
00:40in the community that don't have beds and you want to be humbled real quick, but deliver
00:43a bed and put it together for somebody who's been sleeping on the floor or on top of their
00:47clothes.
00:48Over 3,000 hours of community service the last few years, working with programs like Kids
00:52Sports, 7-on-7 programs, our guys right now on Sundays are coaching next level flag football
00:59and they get to be coached by some of their favorite players, which is really, really, really
01:04important.
