00:33course it's got the name detroit in it it's hard not to play it on the on a detroit themed show you
00:37know um but you guys have been busy of late i know you got some shows you got some like new like
00:43partnerships i mean what what kind of like shows have you guys recently played and or like shows
00:48upcoming that people should know about give it to him kirk look here we've got uh there's something
00:55going on sandusky the june six we got the bike week kicking off uh back backseat saloon is that
01:04what what that place was uh rockin ranch saloon rockin ranch ohio coming up okay recently we played
01:13at the token lounge and headlined uh headlining a local show night with some other local uh great
01:20local artists like raging psychos and a few other great bands um and coming up other than the rockin
01:27ranch saloon for sandusky bike week we have uh in grand rapids uh wednesday june 11th at the
01:34intersection in grand rapids we're going to be uh direct support for thc that's the texas hippie
01:41coalition yes sir very cool very cool um yeah i know you guys touched on the bike uh show out in
01:49sandusky or you know related to that good segue into i know you guys were on your like band page
01:55you guys have not like a new sponsor vikings biking bags not gonna really demand on the viking
02:00bags i'm curious though about the whole bikers like you know obviously i see a bike in the background
02:04are you um i mean tell me like is that just you guys have you guys like maybe meet through that or
02:09like where's that coming to play with your guys's group so my whole background personally myself is all
02:17blue collar factory workers mechanics welders carpenters people of skilled trades no nobody
02:25in my family ever was a musician or really had interest in other than playing the radio
02:30so i myself uh was very young lad and uh got turned on to blues and rock and roll music through texas music
02:40culture and later uh on in my life turned on to detroit music by hard rock and metal like seduce and bands
02:49like that and uh obviously you know the deadly deadly and the kid rock and all that stuff but
02:56mainly uh how we all became friends was me and the drummer william while bill uh are both mechanics and
03:07carpenters and things like that nature and obviously bikers we ride you know i've been a part of the
03:13emcee community here in detroit and whatnot and uh a whole lot of other you know involvement with
03:18you know two-wheel fun you know just riding around and you know just putting miles on you know building
03:24you know brotherhood relationships whatever so that's kind of mainly how the three of us met
03:29other than you know the need for what we want to do is play music oh sure yeah and speaking of wild
03:35bill looks like we got him in a waiting room here a little tardy to the party but what's going on bill
03:43maybe in a moment well wow bill there we go third member here of kid uh sorry i was having some
03:53issues there getting on so all good guys for the card is there you're all good all good we're just
03:58talking about we're just talking about you guys uh kind of all being blue-collared and you know
04:03riding riding obviously uh motorcycles uh kind of like connected you guys and all that
04:08now you're still obviously connected through that oh absolutely um you know i mean i guess i can kind
04:15of talk about how uh me and me and kid met um we used to see each other randomly and just open jams
04:21around metro detroit down river ipsilanti and uh for years we'd get on stage together and
04:27play a couple songs always wanted to play with them and you know last year the opportunity opened
04:33up you know and uh yeah it's been awesome it really really has man i love what we do i love the guys
04:42man they're not just band members they're family they're brothers you know we don't just get together
04:47and play music you know we go to concerts together we hang out together you know we know each other's
04:53family all that stuff man it's great that's awesome certainly makes a difference when you're
04:58making music if you actually care about the people you're in it with we also like to complain about
05:03our jobs together too well i mean that's that's part for the course that's how it goes um yeah so i i do
05:11want to redirect uh you guys or i guess the listeners to your guys's like website upcoming like shows you
05:18have listed i know like i i've been peeping around like your facebook and of course like your website
05:22um what kinds of stuff do you guys have out there for uh you know your fans in the detroit area or i
05:28gotta say michigan area to flock to uh upcoming would be uh grand rapids wednesday june 11th that'd be
05:36the the next nearest show uh that you could come catch detroit trouble we're gonna be direct support
05:41that night for texas hippie coalition at the intersection venue in grand rapids after that uh the next time you
05:49can catch us locally in the uh metro area would be uh in flat rock friday july 18th uh that's going
05:57to be a outdoor summer concert series we're gonna be jamming out and with four or five other bands i
06:03believe uh if i'm not mistaken it's going to be uh involved with a uh a couple of american idol
06:11contestants oh sweet yeah it's gonna be a great time and of course come and check out the merch booth man
06:17we got tons and tons tons of good stuff and now we just got this new uh sponsorship with uh viking bag
06:23and whatnot so keep on the lookout for that you know awesome awesome i mean i kind of want to expand
06:28on obviously on the new stuff you guys are doing um so i know you guys have released a couple of new songs
06:34i think your latest track is hot in the d right no sir it's actually a track called shine
06:39it's more like a bail yeah have you guys released that yet or is that just you have done that as
06:44like a live performance no it's uh it's on our spotify it's on soundcloud deezer itunes okay okay
06:51cool cool cool tell me a little bit about shine then uh i'm gonna let uh the captain speak on that
06:57one actually what's up captain yeah so we we took we took a departure from the detroit rock and roll
07:01side of heavy hitters and we decided to write a ballad and ray just came up with this
07:07really cool ballad um and everybody calls him kid by the way so we won't divulge his real identity
07:13here but uh you know he had this really cool ballad riff i'm like wow i can actually put something to
07:19this so i came up with a little bit of a chorus thing we were in our little basement studio that's at
07:24my place up in sports creek and we recorded it we sent it off to get mixed by a buddy of ours that
07:30plays for a local band that my son's in called balls deluxe um the guy's been around for quite a
07:35while he's a really good producer um and he finished up that track for us and we just released it
07:40it's it's all over youtube there's a uh audio only video on youtube we're looking to shoot an
07:47official video for this song shine within the next couple of weeks here we're going to get that done
07:52but uh it's all over social media it's on our website there's a player on our website
07:58detroitbubbleband.com um like that youtube and it's on spotify as well and all your streaming
08:04platforms so um we were just really into playing some good hard rock and roll from detroit and then
08:11we decided hey you know what we don't have a ballad um and we have a good friend of ours that uh him and
08:17his wife are been around for quite a while together and it kind of reminded us the song kind of reminded
08:24of them and we were asking them to be our stars in our next video so that's going to be coming up
08:30here pretty soon and we'll introduce that couple to people and it's the song really just about
08:35meeting your love of your life very early on when you're young and you lose touch and you find each
08:40other again later in life and things are wonderful in your relationship and it's just about dining in
08:45relationship gotcha that's awesome you know i mean there's so many there's countless amazing rock
08:51groups tom you can go back as far as you can a lot of them have those ballads those songs out there
08:57exactly what you just described so i mean it's cool that you know exactly it's funny how you're like
09:01yeah we're missing a ballad so it's kind of right we do like that Bob Seger kind of feel you know
09:06yeah yeah of course um i uh it kind of leads me into my next question i mean so i i know like with
09:13all musicians you guys you guys don't like obviously copy anyone necessarily but obviously
09:18growing up you take some type of inspiration you like this you like what this group does so
09:23doesn't mean you copy it maybe you emulate it or you're just inspired by them what kind of what
09:27kind of groups have kind of moved you guys either individually or i know collectively so collectively i
09:34think uh there's a common denominator here and it's definitely if you if you listen to like hot in
09:40the d and uh time machine those two songs i think the common denominator here is probably somewhere
09:46around uh z and z and top so you know that's kind of more or less what kind of moves us but there's
09:55also a heavily uh a heavy drawn influence from hendrix and stevie ray uh kid rock and bob seger
10:03you know skinnered so it's kind of like all over the map but uh all three of us have completely
10:10completely different musical backgrounds and tastes like i mean i could be listening to west
10:14montgomery smooth jazz over here in the background 20 minutes later i'll go down and get a six pack
10:19and now i'm listening to uh uh you know tupac and you know jamming some gangster rap like i love all
10:25kinds of stuff so well i think that's what makes it great right is being kind of a well-rounded
10:29well-rounded musician just well-rounded artist where you're you're incorporating all these
10:34things willing to listen to it or you know rock with it or whatever i mean it kind of rubs off on
10:38you whether it's actually in the music or not maybe just in your style that makes sense of course
10:44100 yeah so i mean really i kind of want to i don't want to ask any more questions other than
10:49what do you want to tell all the listeners all the fans out there why should they go see detroit
10:53trouble or anything else uh you can see detroit trouble because we are the next upcoming thing
11:00and we are just like you we get up every day we go to a day job and we come home and we work our asses
11:06off to make you guys shake it and another thing a detroit trouble is not just a show we're not up there
11:14just playing music we are giving a performance we know people work hard for their money we know not
11:20everybody has time to go out to concerts you know so we want to give back to those people that support
11:26us and show up so that support like local music and live music you know the pandemic really did a
11:32number on a lot of venues and it's it's coming back so you know it's really important that we give back
11:39to those people that are coming out of their houses who worked all week and give them a performance
11:45not just playing songs that we wrote you know that that's easy you know we want you we want you to
11:51be draw dropping and want you to remember and enjoy yourself you have something to go back to work
11:59monday morning and talk about with your you know your co-workers you know something that's memorable
12:03that you're going to last down for you know years to come we wanted to really show detroit you know
12:10what a real rock show is because we don't see real rock shows anymore all of our idols put on shows
12:16for us we wanted to see some action on stage that's what you're going to get when you come to see detroit
12:19trouble you're going to see a show you're going to see some action you're going to see us all over
12:23that stage we're going to be right up in your face we're going to be down on the dance floor with you
12:27playing together me and kid are side by side doing solos together um we'll be on top of amps we'll be on top of
12:35the drum riser will be on top of tables you'll see it all there at our show so make sure you catch
12:40the show at detroit trouble well i'm inspired so that's awesome yeah why wouldn't you go after all that
12:46um yeah well guys thanks for talking with me um i'm you know this is going to be uh it's gonna be
12:52great to see you guys live i'm gonna make it down for one of these shows i promise just have to figure
12:56out my schedule which one but i highly recommend the show on the 11th at the intersection with thc
13:02those guys are awesome and we're looking forward to giving those guys some some support well mark
13:08my calendar then but all the other listeners out there go see detroit trouble thanks for talking
