00:00In a world where the it-thing is always changing, sometimes you need a tour guide or two to help you find your way to Pop Culture's Paradise.
00:07If you find yourself reminiscing or in need of a good recommendation, these two have you covered.
00:12And now, here's your hosts, Joey and Jeff!
00:21Hey, welcome to Pop Culture Paradise. My name is Jeff.
00:24And my name is the macho man, Randy Savage.
00:27Actually, it's Joe. I wish that was Randy.
00:30Who doesn't? Today, we're going to be discussing the meme culture.
00:34Specifically, an account that I've been trying to get Joe to make for quite a while, actually.
00:40I wanted him to make a Twitter account called Macho Meme Randy Savage.
00:45And we scoured the Internet. We haven't found anybody that's actually done this yet.
00:48No, surprisingly. Right.
00:50So even more reason for you to hop on and make the account now.
00:56You might be on to something because it's like, I think in the last, what has it been, four or five years?
01:01It's like when you communicate with everybody, almost everyone now communicates in animated GIF.
01:07Yeah. Or like they want to go in Giphy or the other ones that are the options on your phone.
01:14And it's like, well, you know, they say text can't convey exactly what your emotion is.
01:19Well, if you attach that picture to it, then they can't possibly misinterpret what you're feeling.
01:24Oh, yeah. It's totally one of those rolling into work on a Monday like and it's some sort of just exhausted,
01:30you know, GIF or meme, whatever it might be.
01:34So, yeah, that's that's kind of how we all communicate with each other now.
01:38And I'm definitely hyped because I remember you showing me a few of these over over Christmas time,
01:46I think a while back and we're going to get to show them here to the show today. So I'm hyped.
01:52So it's going to be up to you, the audience, to decide if this is a venture worth me going on.
01:58And today I'm going to show you the first batch of these that have been created.
02:04And if they're good enough, the account will be made and you will be able to share them.
02:08Jeff, are you ready to dig it?
02:12Oh, yeah. When you want to be by yourself, but company keeps showing up.
02:18Hey, everybody, Randy's back. Come on. He's back.
02:25No, no. Leave me alone. What confetti?
02:30Oh, yeah. I just want to come home after a long day of work and just put my feet up on the couch and I come home to this.
02:39I see. This is what was relatable to me. It's the fact that, yeah, he looks like, oh, man,
02:45I had something totally planned and now I have to entertain all these people and they just keep showing up.
02:50Go home. You don't even know who half of the people are.
02:53And then somebody's like, hey, I haven't drinking anything all day. What do you have in your fridge?
02:58Nothing for you. And we're going to go pass fail with these rather than do a whole star system or number system.
03:07I'm definitely giving that one a strong pass. That is awesome.
03:10When a cool person tries to hype up their loser friend.
03:14Let that one sink in for a second. Get one more shot. I love a party.
03:20Get a one more shot at it. He does not want to be there.
03:27We've all been there, right? Like, you're like, oh, look at this guy. This guy's great.
03:32He's cool like the rest of us. And that's just. Yeah.
03:36And you're on the spot. No, trust me. He's so funny. He says the funniest things all the time.
03:42And they kind of like put you on the spot and want you to like drop jokes.
03:45And you're just like, leave me the hell alone. No, I'm not.
03:49I'm not going to dance monkey dance. Do you have jokes?
03:52Well, I don't tell like knock knockers like punchline stuff.
03:55I write things down and make it funny later. Right?
03:59Well, I don't understand that concept. This guy's a dud.
04:04But then what will happen then is they'll immediately move on to somebody else.
04:08So this will keep happening to people like like throughout the party all night.
04:13No, no, trust me. This guy. I remember this happening to me in the lunch line at school.
04:19And someone tried to like put me on the spot and hype me up to one of their friends
04:24and I just wasn't having it. I'm like, no, no, move down the line.
04:28Find the next guy. No, you're not their little like pet monkey.
04:32That's like, no, do a trick. Do a trick. Come on, do it. Pass or fail?
04:38I'm going to say it's a pass. It's awesome. But I hate when that happens.
04:42When work keeps interrupting your plans to party.
04:45I can't tell you how many times this has happened.
04:48J.R. I'm going to need that video done.
04:51I know you're on Christmas break or no joke, Joe.
04:55I know it's Thanksgiving Day, but we really want to start that promotion tomorrow.
05:02Can you please just put the final touches on that video?
05:05It's like, oh, this one, this one is relatable for sure.
05:09And the worst thing is to like, you know, you know,
05:12you've seen it coming for like a week that this thing is going to fall
05:16on your shoulder on the worst possible time
05:18and you've probably even gone out and been like, hey, what are we doing about that?
05:22Hey, do you have all the pieces I need? No, no, no.
05:25Trust me. Trust me. We'll be we'll be okay.
05:27It's not going to fall on you. I know it's going to fall on me.
05:30I know it's going to fall on me. Yes.
05:33Hello. It's like I you you don't want to answer the phone,
05:39but then it's like the text and then the email
05:42and then the DM and then the FaceTime request like no.
05:48You remember when people could be off the grid, right?
05:51You can't anymore. Like I often love to just turn off my phone,
05:54like not on silent, not on vibrate off,
05:58like just shut it off. And it's it's the closest you can get.
06:03Yeah, it's the closest you can get.
06:05Taking you back to last week on WWF Party at my house.
06:08All right. Party time. No, no, no, no, no, no.
06:12What's the matter? If you go to the party too Thompson, let's go.
06:14I'll go in a little while.
06:15But listen, I sent the other camera crew
06:18and all your fans into the conference room.
06:20They're going to party now. Good. But we're the hosts of the show.
06:23So it's business party later.
06:25Damn it. I got to work business later.
06:27No, no. Yeah, get back into the routine.
06:30All right. And you always try to pull that trick to you.
06:35Like I definitely didn't understand what you just said,
06:37even though I clearly did.
06:39Yeah, he's trying to he's trying to get to the party.
06:41The boss keeps pulling him back. This one.
06:45I am I am triggered. I'm going to say.
06:50Never let me use that word again, by the way.
06:52I'll give you a pass on the word triggered.
06:54It's okay. And speaking of pass, I'm going to pass that one.
06:58It's good when you just have to one-up the person who's talking to you.
07:01You ever run into this person or are you this person?
07:05I like to pride myself on not being this person though.
07:09When somebody is bragging themselves up,
07:12you I kind of always feel like I need to like slide in and be like,
07:17yeah. Well, I also did that but I did this too.
07:21Does it but I but I bite my tongue and I often don't.
07:25Does it like I always kind of feel like I'm skirting that line as well.
07:29Is it one-upping somebody when like you're trying to personally relate?
07:33Like you are hearing what they're saying, right?
07:36And they're like, oh, I did this thing and you're like, you know,
07:38I did something similar here in the same vein of what you're talking about.
07:43I'm not trying to one-up you but I have a similar experience.
07:48And then they immediately go over to the next guy.
07:51They're like, what's up with him? He just won't let me have my moment.
07:55I thought I was trying to I'm not one-upping you.
07:58I just trying to find common ground here. Okay, comparatively speaking.
08:02I've got a scoop too and that makes your scoop look like a baby scoop.
08:06Sorry, baby hurts your feelings or anything like that.
08:09Todd's triggered. Yeah, he definitely is.
08:15Nacho wasn't trying to relate there.
08:18No, he was just trying to put himself over straight up.
08:22You know what? Maybe it wasn't the sense that he was trying to put himself over.
08:26He was trying to put Todd down to make himself feel.
08:31I don't know. I could try to psychoanalyze the brain of Todd Fenton Gale and Randy Savage,
08:36but I feel like it's going to be a long episode brother.
08:41Oh, if you had to play shrink to Randy Savage.
08:44I don't know man pass or fail. Yeah. I mean that one made sense too.
08:49It's a definitely a real-life scenario.
08:52I'm going to give it a pass and I think you're going to find that with a lot of these
08:55unless you just super miss the mark.
08:59That's not entirely out of the question.
09:01When you want to cheer up your friend after they make a mistake.
09:05See that's a good quality to have you know,
09:07that that's that's that's a good quality of friends should have.
09:10Don't worry about it. I'm no mental giant myself.
09:13You are exactly right and I'm in your corner.
09:16He's you know, he's making him feel better about himself.
09:19He's really trying to hype him up.
09:23I just don't think he did a good enough job of it. Really?
09:26No sort of a you're really great.
09:30Well, let me tell you about the great things I've done too.
09:33I'm going to fail that one and I'm going to throw out a disclaimer as well.
09:37You're going to hear a lot of terrible or any Savage Impressions
09:39throughout the remainder of this episode.
09:45And this is number six what it sounds like when you negotiate with mom and dad.
09:51We've all been there, right? That's how a lot of people become lawyers, right?
09:55You gotta you gotta have your first person you're negotiating a deal with
09:59and then if it doesn't, you know go in your in your favor with mom,
10:03then you what you go over to dad and then you try to play dad against mom
10:07and mom against dad until hopefully you can get your way.
10:11But usually they're smart enough to know.
10:13All right. I see what I see what what he's up to here.
10:17I mean when you're younger, you don't realize the United Front of like,
10:20oh, they both already agreed upon this already.
10:24Yeah, but like I'll watch it happen with my nephew
10:26and it's like there's smaller things that he knows he can get away with by trying out both parents.
10:33But the bigger stuff they've already decided what they're going to do
10:36and they'll try not to break but you just watch it and you're like,
10:41that's sneaky little kid. Do you ever do you ever try to say?
10:44Hey, look, I see what you're doing.
10:48Just trust me. It's not going to work this time
10:50or do you kind of just stay back
10:52and watch him work himself into a situation that he can't win?
10:57Well, they don't listen anyway, right?
11:00Like the one thing you try to understand is that they're they're not that developed.
11:07So they only are thinking one thing.
11:09So what you're saying is going to go way over their head
11:11or it's like you're speaking to dead eyes.
11:14Yeah, because you're like, oh, you shouldn't try that.
11:17Why shouldn't I try that or I'm going to do it anyway.
11:21This is the only way I know how to get the job done.
11:23And you're like, guess I'll just get my popcorn ready.
11:27And isn't that the thing when you when you're young,
11:30even if you get the most like technically sound advice ever
11:34and it pans out to be true, you're still like,
11:37well, no, I'm going to I'm going to do it.
11:39I'm going to do it my way.
11:40And if I fail, then at least I did it my way.
11:43You just like one that was when I was younger.
11:46I could have been like we just can't get out of our own way.
11:51Don't fit. It starts even back then.
11:54Yep. Why don't go do it?
11:56No, I didn't. Everybody else. Yeah, next week.
12:00Yeah, maybe. Possibly. Maybe.
12:04He's just trying to get like the smallest resemblance of a yes
12:08so he can hang on to that and say,
12:10but you said, but you said, you know,
12:13that kind of sounds like when we used to try to convince my mom
12:15or somebody to go up to like Wyndham to the KB toy works.
12:19Yeah, and it's like, will you go up there?
12:21No, what if I did this? Maybe you said yes.
12:25Yep. And dude,
12:26what was cool about that is you had to actually go out in the world
12:31and this is something that I tell people,
12:34you know, that I'm that I'm pals with here in Nashville.
12:38It's like, well, Jr. You could just get that on like Amazon probably
12:41and I'm like sure I could but I want to I want to go out
12:46and I want to call these places
12:47and I want them to call the other store
12:49and I want to go try to find it myself like I don't know.
12:52There's something fun about that to me
12:55and that's what we used to always do when we were kids
12:58and to me it's like that's how I still kind of want to do it
13:02rather than just let everything come to me.
13:04Sure some things yeah,
13:06but things that I'm excited about like a new game
13:09or you know action figure like some rare,
13:13you know, like you want to get out there in into the wilderness per se
13:17and try to find it yourself.
13:18I think there's like something to the chase like
13:21which is why I watch the game chasers
13:22and things like that where it's like right go in you're holding your hand.
13:25You're like Zelda and you're like,
13:27yeah, there you go.
13:28I've I've gotten my object.
13:30I've won I've conquered.
13:32Yeah, when you get it in a package, you're like,
13:35I don't know. It feels like somebody handed you a trophy like this
13:38like the everybody's a winner kind of trophy.
13:40Yeah, and you'll participation trophy.
13:43Yeah. Congratulations. You know how to order a product.
13:46Yeah, I got like these AEW figure.
13:49I got the MGF on my shelf
13:50and as I had to order them
13:51because I've never been able to go into the store
13:53and actually see these friggin things.
13:55Yeah, so I feel like it was a hollow victory.
13:58I got what I wanted
13:59but I didn't get to walk out with that thrill of the hunt.
14:03It's almost like getting a disqualification win.
14:06Yes, let me put this into perspective of one of your favorite all-time wrestlers.
14:12It was like Lex Luger defeating Yokozuna on a count out
14:16but not actually winning the title.
14:18Nobody's going to drop confetti on me when I get this thing in the mail.
14:22You go, click, add to cart, confetti starts dropping down.
14:27A choir comes out, starts singing for you.
14:32What? Huh? I didn't do anything.
14:35The Lex Express.
14:37But yeah, I'm going to give that one a pass.
14:39We're kind of going off on a tangent here,
14:41but yeah, I'm going to pass it.
14:43What I sound like when I watch my sibling get lectured by my parents.
14:48Been there and it is the best.
14:50It really is.
14:52Though, you also have to worry that they're going to rat you out for something
14:56because everybody has dirt that they haven't dropped yet.
14:59You know, what was always the best though is being in somebody else's house,
15:04like being over at your parents' house,
15:06which I so often was and watching Chrissy get lectured by your mom or dad.
15:13That was the best because then you're like,
15:16all right, I'm not the brother.
15:18I'm the friend of the brother,
15:20but somehow it always turned around to, to what?
15:23At least Chrissy's doing something like she could never do wrong.
15:28Younger. Yeah.
15:30On that phony belt. Counterfeit.
15:32If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
15:35It's true. It's true.
15:36But I think that one was it was a little too quick.
15:41I think I'm going to I'm going to fail that one first.
15:44I think that's going to be the first fail
15:46and it wasn't for a lack of effort or a lack of making sense.
15:50I just wish there was a little bit more to it.
15:52If you can't do the dime, don't do the crime.
15:54I thought it would work. Oh, well.
15:56When you feel like the biggest pimp in the room.
15:59Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
16:02When I was six years old. Yeah.
16:06All the hens. Yeah,
16:11they're just hanging on to every word he's saying.
16:14Those all look like 90s moms.
16:19I just want to know like who in the office whose wives are those?
16:24These are the friends benefits of the job.
16:27All right, I gotta get out of here.
16:29That was a good one. That was a good one.
16:31He felt like he was the cock of the walk.
16:33He was the bell of the ball and yeah, dude,
16:37I'm going to pass that one. That one was good.
16:39Everybody likes that kind of attention where you're just like,
16:43man, they're all saying how great I am.
16:45I must actually be that great, right?
16:48When your teacher keeps teaching when you just want to start Christmas break.
16:52Oh gosh, we know this all too well, right?
16:55I think that's a pretty universal feeling.
16:57It's I think it starts like that last two weeks
17:00and then that last week's even more painful.
17:02Yeah, and that week seems like forever.
17:05And then you get to that point where you're like, oh, please don't assign anything.
17:08I want that 15, 16 days where there's no school
17:13and I can just literally do whatever the hell I want because I'm not working.
17:17I got a bunch of new stuff coming in five to six days.
17:20Yeah, and if they step in like, you know,
17:23we're really thinking we want you to finish this book and have this assignment ready.
17:26You're like, oh no, what can I squeeze out on January 8th
17:32or 9th and load myself up on energy drinks,
17:35stay up for five hours and just...
17:38You're like reading and retaining information over Christmas break.
17:44What are you crazy?
17:45I'm going to do it all the night before and it's going to be very half-assed.
17:50Did you enjoy what you read?
17:52You can enjoy a book that you read in school?
17:56Not the way you're citing it.
17:58No.
17:59You said, Toddster, business first, party second.
18:02Let's go to the party.
18:03It's not time yet.
18:05Don't forget later this weekend on All-American, that exclusive six-man tag.
18:08He's trying to get out of here.
18:10All right, let's go now.
18:11Let's go.
18:12Where?
18:14Where?
18:14Yeah, where?
18:15The party.
18:15You said you want to go to the party.
18:16You've been saying the party.
18:17Let's go to the party.
18:18Oh my goodness.
18:20You need to bring it down a little bit.
18:22Come on.
18:23Merry Christmas.
18:24Merry Christmas.
18:25Let's go.
18:27Dude, that's going to be, that's a great pass.
18:30Especially when Macho turns it on him.
18:32He's like, wait, where are we going?
18:34And he's just, dude, he lost it.
18:36That was good stuff.
18:38You know, actually, I could see that happening with a regular kid, right?
18:40When you're so excited.
18:43And then like that last minute, you're like, all right, I'll see you later.
18:46It's Christmas time.
18:47When we come back and you start like assigning everything you want to do when you get back.
18:52Right.
18:53Because you just remembered, oh, wait, we're going to have all this cool stuff to do.
18:57But I'm not going to see you for a week or two.
18:59So, I think the coolest part about that, you know, way back when was,
19:05dude, that like two, three weeks that you were off.
19:07That felt like forever.
19:09It was the best.
19:10It really was.
19:11Pass or fail?
19:12Pass.
19:13I said definitely a pass.
19:14That was an awesome one.
19:15When someone breaks out the New Year's party supplies,
19:19you know that person knows how to have a good time.
19:21Sometimes you hope that they save it for New Year's.
19:25Except when it's you.
19:26Because you don't know how obnoxious you are.
19:28You just know how obnoxious everybody else is when they do it.
19:30Right.
19:31I mean, you walk by a kazoo and you're like, I know what I'm using right now.
19:36Happy New Year.
19:37I think you know.
19:39Randy.
19:40Oh, gosh.
19:40Randy.
19:42Hello.
19:43Oh, gosh, dude.
19:44If it's not you with the supplies, it's the worst.
19:47No, I'm going to keep on going and going.
19:50Party time.
19:55Where?
19:55Give me that.
19:56Where have you been?
19:56Perfect representation.
19:58What party?
19:59The party's been going on for 72 hours.
20:01I had to leave early just to come over here.
20:02I've been up for 89 hours.
20:04Having a good time.
20:08What was he doing for 72 hours to party?
20:12Dude, that must have been the most legendary party of all time.
20:15Whose parents were out of town for 72 hours so they could throw this rager?
20:19I think that's how they film Can't Hardly Wait 2, New Year's edition.
20:23Or Project X.
20:26The monkey movie with Matthew Broderick?
20:30Yes, that's the exact movie I'm talking about.
20:32That's the Project X?
20:34Yeah.
20:35You can't just have, like, you imagine the parents come home.
20:37There's monkeys swinging in the kitchen on the cupboards and everything.
20:41And Randy Savage is there.
20:42Wee!
20:45Oh, that noise.
20:46It's so piercing.
20:47But I'm going to pass that one.
20:48That one was a perfect representation.
20:51A fear that we all have.
20:53I've even seen it on the Tyra Banks show.
20:55Somebody was afraid of this.
20:56What?
20:57How I feel any time I'm near a balloon?
21:00What's your phobia?
21:01Balloons.
21:02Balloons?
21:02Yes.
21:03Right.
21:05Why did you do that?
21:05I'm sorry I did it.
21:06Here, you hold the balloon, okay?
21:08I don't want to hold it.
21:08Just don't do it again.
21:09Okay, I promise.
21:10All right.
21:11Bing.
21:12Because, you know, okay, I get it.
21:13Yeah, because somebody's going to bop you with it.
21:15Always, right?
21:17Little kids like bopping you with balloons.
21:20Because why not, right?
21:23It makes sense to me.
21:24That's when you pull the old switchblade out and pop that sucker.
21:29Or you get a little pin.
21:32But then again, maybe some kids who don't mind the sound,
21:35and then other kids that are like,
21:37oh my god, I hate balloons popping.
21:39I'm kind of in that I hate balloons popping.
21:41Right, it's loud.
21:42It's real loud.
21:43Especially if it's up close, you know.
21:46But I was watching the little kid party,
21:47and one of them's just like, pop, pop, pop.
21:50It's like, you are a psycho.
21:52You know what?
21:53You know what?
21:53I always dread after every single prom.
21:57Like, we just did six schools in four weeks back in prom season.
22:03There's always just decor of balloons everywhere.
22:06So at the end of the night, as we're breaking down all our gear,
22:11all you hear is,
22:12pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.
22:15There's like 10 staff members all popping balloons at the same time.
22:19And one staff member who ducked under a table.
22:21Right, and no matter how many times you hear it,
22:24it still gives you the, ah, ah, ah.
22:27So at that point, I take my headphones,
22:30and I put them on my ears just to try to block out the sound.
22:34Smart.
22:35But I'm going to pass that one.
22:36I like that one.
22:37How I feel when I have to tell someone I'm straight edge.
22:41And you know the weird thing about whenever this topic comes up?
22:45One, people usually are shocked and surprised
22:48because they think just because I'm a DJ and a radio host
22:52that I'm some sort of just raging alcoholic.
22:55Like, it just comes with the territory.
22:58Everybody assumes that all the time.
23:01But I can't tell you how many, like, you know,
23:02times I've turned down drinks out at, you know, bars and clubs and DJing events.
23:07Hey, let me get you a drink.
23:08Yeah, Red Bull, sugar-free, with vodka, right?
23:11No, no, just, and then anytime somebody gives me a drink,
23:14it's like, all right, it's good.
23:17It's safe, you know?
23:18But they're always so shocked about it.
23:20And you get one of two things.
23:22Really, why?
23:23Or, wow, congratulations.
23:26It's like, wait, did I win an award, too?
23:28Yeah, that's one of the things, too.
23:29It's like, wow, you should be so proud of yourself.
23:32Like, that's so cool.
23:33You'll get either that or, well, did you come from like a real,
23:37like, you know, tough home?
23:38Or, you know, did something bad happen to you?
23:41And it's like, okay, let's enjoy ourselves here.
23:43Let's not sit on the couch and talk.
23:46Or you get the one person who's confused it for sobriety.
23:50So they're like, I'm straight-edge, too.
23:51I don't drink except for, you know, when I had a problem with it four years ago.
23:55And you're like, yeah, I mean, good for you to get that under control.
23:58But two different terms.
24:00Yeah.
24:01Four years, four months sober.
24:03It's like, well, that's great, you know?
24:05But for us, it's let's not do it, you know, ever.
24:10Let me tell you something, Tadster.
24:12I don't drink or drive, so I'm cool.
24:15Yeah.
24:17What does that mean?
24:18Nothing. Don't worry about it.
24:20You know what's sad about that is that was me up until I was like 30, 31 years old
24:24because I didn't have my license.
24:27So it was, yeah, I didn't drink and I didn't drive.
24:31So technically, I was doing a good thing.
24:33I just, one I chose not to and the other I just wasn't any good at.
24:37So technically, you were the macho man.
24:40Right? Yeah.
24:42I'm going to pass that one.
24:43That one hit home for me.
24:44I like that one.
24:46When you try to work with your parents, but all you're doing is annoying them.
24:51We've all been there.
24:52They could kind of start off like, oh, that's cute.
24:54You know, hey, pass me this, pass me that.
24:57But then you're like, what does that do?
24:58What is this for?
25:00Why do you need that?
25:01Starts to really annoy them.
25:04Especially when it's one of those sit and watch and learn from me.
25:08And then you start asking the questions and they just look super upset.
25:11You're like, well, now I know why you don't have a job as a teacher.
25:14Whoa.
25:14Yep.
25:15Yep.
25:16What's that?
25:17What's this?
25:18Don't you know?
25:18No, I don't.
25:22You told me to come out here so I could learn it.
25:24And if you don't tell me, I'm just going to stand here.
25:28Checked out visibly.
25:29Pretty much.
25:30Yeah, those smoking guns.
25:32They're a pistol.
25:35We're just talking about that.
25:38He's high strung.
25:40You know, I think that's going to be the second fail for me.
25:43I think that one is going to be the second fail.
25:46I thought it was funny, but I don't think it completely matched with the context.
25:51When you arrive to class and you haven't done your homework.
25:54Not that any of us have ever done that.
25:57Oh, no, we're all honor roll students.
25:59Matter of fact, fun sidebar.
26:02I made honor roll one time in my life.
26:04And that was strictly thanks to Joe.
26:08Strictly thanks to him.
26:09I had to take junior English and senior English the same year.
26:14Because I was just, I just had way too much fun, you know?
26:18So I had to take them both.
26:19Regular old party genetics.
26:21Yeah, they both happened to be on the same day with the same teacher.
26:25It was literally one after the other.
26:27Block three and block four.
26:29And I can't remember what book it was.
26:31But I would come over and you're like, dude, I did this like sophomore year.
26:36I'm like, well, this is my junior English, damn it.
26:39And through your help with that class, and then I really, you know,
26:44stepped it up in my other ones.
26:46I made honor roll one time my entire scholastic career.
26:50And a lot of that is thanks to Joe.
26:53Right, nobody was able to do it.
26:55I didn't do it either.
26:58You just want to make sure that you weren't the only one that didn't do it.
27:01So you start going to your classmates and, oh, well, they didn't do it.
27:05And they didn't do it.
27:06All right, I'm going to be okay.
27:08I always found those to be the best times when you get there and like
27:12everyone in the class before this thing starts goes, did you do it?
27:15No.
27:16Did you do it?
27:16No.
27:17All right.
27:17It looks like there's like three or four people in the class who actually
27:19did the assignment.
27:20So maybe the teacher calls an audible and gives an extra day.
27:23Yeah, if hopefully, right?
27:26I mean, it's so crazy.
27:27Like back then we would go through more work to not do the work than the
27:32amount of work.
27:33It would take just to do the work.
27:34I'm going to pass that one.
27:35I thought it was good, but it was short.
27:37So that's kind of the only thing about it.
27:40I didn't like but it made perfect sense.
27:42Here's one where we've all experienced number 15 when you forget your
27:46line when recording your vlog, dude, you should see me trying to record
27:51with my lady and I get so mad at myself.
27:54And and she's just like, oh my God, who is this guy?
27:59I have so many of those outtakes where I especially for that Halloween
28:05series that I did with all the fan films.
28:07Yeah.
28:08You see me doing all the lines and just all in this blah blah blah
28:12happens.
28:13It was and then you hear me mess up.
28:15I hate the camera.
28:19I hate this.
28:20I hate this to play us out.
28:22What does that mean?
28:23What does that mean?
28:24We'll do it live and that's one of the problems for me is I recently
28:28just came forward on TikTok and talked about how I've dealt with a
28:32stutter my entire life.
28:34So when I'm not in some sort of rhythm and cadence and I can kind of
28:40you know, because I rap so I could always find the flow in the in the
28:45beat.
28:45So when I'm talking on the air, I often rely on that.
28:50Rhythm that that that cadence to really help me not stutter and mess
28:54up my words.
28:55But if it's just me addressing the camera, it's hard to even get out
29:00the first word if it's not how I would naturally do it.
29:04You know what I mean?
29:04Oh, have you ever analyzed like the very first sentence or two that
29:09you say when you're starting off a video?
29:10Yeah, and you're like mine.
29:13I always have a problem with the hands or anything else like that.
29:15That is like, oh God, I sound so stupid.
29:18But if I can get past that first two, it's a lot smoother sailing.
29:22Right?
29:22Sometimes you just have to have like a word or two, you know, in the
29:27jump just to get yourself going per se and I often find that mark and
29:33that's when I start the cut, you know?
29:35Men on a mission.
29:41Hey buddy, you didn't say it.
29:42Well, that's okay.
29:43I would have got there.
29:44Don't worry about me.
29:45You just hold up your head.
29:46Watch your back.
29:47You just hold up your head, pal.
29:48That was great.
29:49I just love how he throws up the like it's over like they're all done.
29:54Dude.
29:54That one's a pass.
29:55That's a great one.
29:56Something that we've all experienced parents trying to work the
30:00electronics.
30:01Yeah, I got a queued up right here.
30:02The Undertaker and Samut.
30:03You know how to queue up?
30:04Oh, absolutely.
30:05Right here.
30:05No, no, not the red one.
30:07I was gonna push the white one.
30:09Oh, I'm sorry.
30:09It looked like the red one.
30:10What does the red one do?
30:11Don't push the red one.
30:12Oh gosh.
30:13Unbelievable.
30:13Hey, listen, you tag in.
30:15I tag in.
30:16I'm in it.
30:16Tag in.
30:17You made it nice.
30:18I'm in the nice.
30:19It's cool right here.
30:20Let me just hit this.
30:21I could have done that.
30:24That's a good one, dude.
30:25That is, that is.
30:27Yeah, that one's good.
30:28I'm gonna pass that one.
30:29When you trick your friend and they won't admit it like they can't
30:34just say, you know what?
30:36You got one over on me.
30:38They just they can't let themselves do it.
30:41No, that would make them look lame.
30:43They can't put over the joke or the prank, you know.
30:47Fooled you, brother.
30:48Yes, I did.
30:48I fooled you.
30:49I forgot to fool you.
30:50I didn't admit it.
30:52Fooled Todd Pettigrew.
30:53Coming up this weekend on Superstars.
30:55Fooled him.
30:55Fooled him.
30:56Fooled him.
30:56I fooled you, brother.
30:57He starts telling the other guy.
30:59Hey, I fooled him.
31:00Well, if you can convince other people that the fooling happened, then it makes it official.
31:05You did not fool me.
31:06Like Flooger, I fooled you.
31:07No, you didn't.
31:08Yes, I did.
31:08Plus on Superstars this weekend, the long-awaited rematch, Crush and
31:12Doink the Clown.
31:13I fooled you.
31:14You didn't fool me.
31:15I did too, brother.
31:16If he had the audience, he would throw it right now.
31:18When we come back.
31:19Fooled him.
31:20Oh, he did not fool me.
31:21I fooled you.
31:22You did not.
31:23Macho is just, he was so good at that stuff.
31:26He would start marching around the room, convincing other people, going off
31:31camera.
31:32You're wondering where, where the hell is he?
31:34Like, what is happening?
31:35He moves more than Doc Brown.
31:37Just back and forth and pacing.
31:39And like, you could be a little stressful watching Macho Man.
31:43And yeah, Todd, like, I feel that because there's nothing worse than if
31:47you actually weren't fooled.
31:49But the other guy's selling it so hard.
31:51You're like, oh my God, shut up.
31:53Shut up.
31:54Where they just won't let it go.
31:57And dude, he was getting so frustrated.
31:59That's so good.
31:59I'm going to pass that one for sure.
32:01That was great.
32:01This one is very patriotic, as you can tell the Macho Man is.
32:06How I feel on the 4th of July.
32:08Good old Independence Day.
32:10USA!
32:11Stop.
32:11Start.
32:12USA!
32:13USA!
32:15USA!
32:16I didn't understand why he made him stop all of a sudden.
32:20But it's very patriotic.
32:23And I do love America, but I've, that's, I think that that's going to be
32:27what, the third one that I need to fail.
32:30Wow.
32:31I mean, it was pretty on point.
32:32What makes it fail?
32:34It just, I like the chant.
32:38I think Todd could have been a little bit more patriotic in his
32:41clothes and in his theme.
32:45But yeah, I don't know.
32:47That one just, it just didn't knock it completely out of the park
32:50for me.
32:50What I feel like when I'm trying to chill out.
32:53Chilling like Bob Dylan.
32:56Bob Dylan like a great chiller because a lot of people use that
33:00line.
33:01You know, every time I've ever seen a Bob Dylan, he just seems
33:05like a cranky old bastard.
33:06Like he seems apathetic towards so many things.
33:09So maybe apathy is chilling to some people.
33:12He probably needs to chill.
33:13It's a problem.
33:14But like when I think chilling, I think like Flo Rida or something.
33:18Right.
33:18You know what?
33:19I see partying with Flo Rida.
33:20Chilling would be like Orange Cassidy.
33:23Maybe.
33:25But I would never chill with him, but I'm going to pass that one.
33:28I like that one.
33:29When I get the slightest bit of criticism.
33:33Real good point.
33:33You know what?
33:34It's not polite to point.
33:35Back off.
33:36Dude, he was just real quick.
33:45Back off.
33:46I'm going to pass that one.
33:47That's great, dude.
33:48That's great.
33:50When you have to make up excuses on why you can't watch something
33:54that gets recommended for you.
33:56Oh, I've done this countless times.
33:58Did it sound like this?
34:02Hey, have you seen the firm yet?
34:04I don't like attorneys.
34:05I don't even like my own attorney, so I haven't seen that either.
34:12I mean, he comes up with a good point, you know, off the cuff.
34:15But hey, that's the real deal right there.
34:18I'm going to pass that one too.
34:20Oh, I can relate to that.
34:21It's like, how come you've never seen Star Wars?
34:23I don't like space.
34:25Yeah, just a blanket statement.
34:27I don't like space.
34:28Yeah.
34:29Oh, what about that?
34:31I don't like the Old West.
34:32I don't like medieval times.
34:34Yeah, and then it's like, oh, but I mean, you say you don't like
34:37that, but it's not really like that.
34:40It's like, well, that was the complete selling point.
34:42You just gave me.
34:43What are you talking about?
34:44But the flip side of that, if somebody tells me that they've
34:48never seen Back to the Future, I'm just like, so you're telling
34:51me you don't like films?
34:53You don't like movies?
34:55You know, why do you hate time travel?
34:58You don't like time travel?
34:59How can you just blanket hate something like that?
35:01You just said you don't like space.
35:03Entirely different.
35:05And then you just go down the line of, you know, one of these
35:08other memes and you'd grab that.
35:11When you come back home to a problem and you need someone to
35:14blame.
35:15It's over.
35:16What?
35:16You touched the machine, brother.
35:17You should have done that.
35:19Look, it's a freeze frame.
35:20Wow.
35:21God, that's a booger.
35:22I'm sorry.
35:23Let me go ahead and run.
35:24I was just trying to help because I thought maybe there was
35:26something.
35:27Don't help me no more.
35:28Don't help me no more.
35:30That's a good one.
35:31I'll pass that one.
35:32I like that one.
35:33I think that's like one of the things you get most at work.
35:35It's like, oh, it would have been fine if he didn't touch it.
35:39I was just trying to help.
35:40Come on.
35:41Now, here's something for all musicians in the audience.
35:44When your friend comes around promoting their own music, not
35:48calling anyone out or anything.
35:50No, got the album.
35:51Sorry.
35:52I'm late.
35:52Top 40.
35:56No doubt about it.
35:57That's you.
36:00Oh, that's so good.
36:14High five.
36:14It's not going to change me.
36:15I'm still going to be the same.
36:17I think that's how we promoted you most of the time, right?
36:20No.
36:21Yeah, and if you did it, can we go?
36:23Can we go back and do that?
36:24Because that was so funny, dude.
36:26I love that.
36:27What music's playing?
36:28My music.
36:30The only music worth playing.
36:31You're digging it, right?
36:33All right.
36:34Yes.
36:35Yeah, it's great.
36:35See, they like it too.
36:38Universal consensus.
36:39It's great.
36:40And then you get that person that's like, don't forget about
36:43me when you're all famous.
36:46Now, this one happens to us when we're using a green screen.
36:55What does he know about green screen?
36:57Macho man is a great green screener.
37:00If macho man stood in front of a green screen in that outfit,
37:07half of them would be keyed out.
37:09He probably forgot about the chroma key.
37:12You know, it's a tough one, but just the fact that he's acting
37:16like he knows what he's talking about.
37:18Oh, yeah.
37:18Yeah, the chroma key.
37:20I'm going to pass it.
37:21I'm going to pass it.
37:22When you've decided that the everyday routine is not happening
37:26today.
37:27We all wake up like that.
37:29Can I have a couple of these?
37:30No, you can't have any.
37:31How about this one?
37:32Technical stuff.
37:33You don't even know what's going on, brother.
37:34All right.
37:35You're boring today, brother.
37:36You're boring today.
37:37That's it.
37:37We're still cool.
37:38Yeah, yeah.
37:39Fooled ya, fooled ya.
37:40No, come on.
37:43Okay, here's the deal.
37:44Last week.
37:46No, it's not happening today, dude.
37:49Yeah, you dropped it.
37:50Last week on Monday.
37:50Come on.
37:51I'll pass that one.
37:53It makes sense.
37:54I like it.
37:55Now earlier you were talking to us about, you know, trying to
37:58get a project done for work.
38:00Now you have to be the creative guy, right?
38:02Yes, I got to be the, you know, creative.
38:07I got to be the director.
38:08I got to shoot it.
38:09I got to edit like it's all it's all right there.
38:13You know, it's all just figure it out.
38:15Jr.
38:17But sometimes you're not the guy who gets to make final approval.
38:19So what is this clip?
38:21This is what it sounds like to video editors when a non-creative
38:24is in the room.
38:25Put the background in the video wall.
38:28Yeah, we need more.
38:29What?
38:31We need more b-roll.
38:33You don't even know what b-roll is.
38:35You got to take a chill pill.
38:36Play that one in slow motion.
38:37Oh man.
38:38Cool brother.
38:38Chill pill.
38:39You got to relax.
38:40No problem.
38:40Thanks for the advice.
38:41You're out of here.
38:41We're almost got this thing done.
38:42It's going to be a happening.
38:44All right, everybody.
38:46Try harder.
38:48Everybody try harder.
38:50Oh my goodness.
38:51That's well, you know you you're you know doing projects for work
38:56and and you kind of have to tell yourself look I either need to
39:00convince my boss that this was his idea or we're going to go
39:04back and forth at least three times just so he can have his
39:10fingerprints all over it.
39:12Like it was his choice to do things a certain way only Macho
39:16Man can get away with saying get out of here.
39:19Yeah.
39:20I'm going to I'm going to pass that one.
39:22That one makes perfect sense to when you're so excited about
39:25your story that you can't even talk like a normal person.
39:28Yeah.
39:32What do you mean?
39:33What's that boy?
39:35Can't wait.
39:36Do the jury.
39:37Oh, no kidding.
39:43Tell me about this.
39:44What's going on the surprise?
39:45Oh my God, that's too good.
39:47You know what it did.
39:48It made me wonder what exactly is he talking about and it
39:52creates that what we talk about in radio all the time that
39:55lean in moment where they kind of lean in and they listen
39:59close and they turn it up and that's what that just did right
40:02there.
40:02So I'm going to pass that one.
40:04That was a great one and not to mention Macho.
40:07I just tried to sound like a cat is pretty gold when you want
40:11to taunt a secret over somebody's head.
40:13I got to go wire circuitry.
40:16No, no, keep him away from circuitry.
40:20Yeah, I'll pass that one.
40:22That makes sense because he's made.
40:23He's a hey, come here.
40:24Come here.
40:24I got a 10.
40:25Nope.
40:25See you when your friends talk about something you made but
40:29they are so positive.
40:30It sounds like mockery.
40:32Oh, this is a fine line.
40:34Is it not?
40:35It is because when they're like, man, that was so great.
40:37What you made.
40:38I was like, oh my God.
40:39That was so great.
40:40It is because when they're like, man, that was so great.
40:43What you made.
40:44I made it.
40:44It can't be great, right?
40:47It's like, yeah, it's like we're we're it's like we are our
40:50own worst critic forever and always, you know, go to my show
40:55man.
40:56Touch of sarcasm there.
40:57Todd.
40:58Yes.
40:58Are you patronizing me at this point?
41:01We're going to show it in its entirety later on in this show.
41:03Cool.
41:04How about that?
41:04Yeah, I like that.
41:05Welcome to W sarcastic.
41:07I'm going to pass that one because it's exactly what it says
41:11in the description, right?
41:13It's a, you know, macho man getting praise, but maybe a little
41:17too much to the point where he's like, all right now, you're
41:19just patronizing me.
41:20Not now.
41:21You're kind of mocking me, but Todd actually wasn't but and
41:24that's the best song in WrestleMania the album.
41:27It definitely is though.
41:29I do have a soft spot for Buffalo.
41:33Oh, I did that one.
41:38That one goes hard.
41:39Tell me it doesn't.
41:40It really does.
41:40But those are all stock Waterman and Aiken beats.
41:44So that's like Rick Ashley.
41:45That's Rick Ashley's producers, right?
41:48Then banana Rama when someone doesn't get your references
41:52where maybe they hadn't seen the movie or the show.
41:54I read the book.
41:55What you know, whatever better than that though, right better
41:59than Mariah Carey's video.
42:01Mariah Carey's singer.
42:03I never heard of them.
42:10Never heard of them.
42:11That's that's always the worst.
42:12Like I'll often, you know, I'll often say around work.
42:17Nobody calls me a chicken and they have a lot of them.
42:21Don't know.
42:21Don't really know what I'm talking about.
42:23No, it's like got to find your people.
42:25It's like damn it.
42:26Like if I was in a room with Joe, he would have picked up
42:31and drop the next line, you know.
42:35But yeah, that happens a lot.
42:37I'm going to pass that one when your friend says they aren't
42:40mad, but you know, that's a lie.
42:43You can tell sometimes they're like, no, no, it's all good.
42:46It's fine.
42:46Jr.
42:47Ditch, you know, recording the podcast two weeks in a row.
42:51It's all good.
42:52That's like my sense in a little sarcasm there.
42:57All right, no, I'm not sensitive about it.
43:01No, I'm not sensitive about it.
43:03We're all no, I'm not.
43:05No, no.
43:07Yeah, that's when you can definitely tell someone's a little
43:10upset.
43:11Yeah, that's a pass.
43:12That one makes make sense.
43:14And it's I mean it happens all the time.
43:17We're only human just like Todd.
43:19Yeah, when you say you're leaving but no one makes a big enough
43:23deal about it.
43:25I'm leaving.
43:27All right, guys.
43:28I'll uh, I'll catch you next time.
43:31Wait a minute.
43:31It's like why don't sound that upset that I'm going.
43:34No, maybe they didn't hear me.
43:36Yeah, I'm leaving.
43:38Yeah.
43:39Yep.
43:40I know you said that.
43:41Yeah, we get it.
43:42We'll see you Monday.
43:44No, I'm too important for you not to like make a big deal that
43:48I'm leaving.
43:49Exactly.
43:50I'm out of here.
43:51I'm a member.
43:51I know this.
43:53I gotta feel it.
43:53I know.
43:54I know it's going to be like acknowledge me yourself and you
43:59brand hand.
43:59Yes, just go.
44:03No, you're still here.
44:04See, they were making that big of a deal.
44:07Yeah, but it's just leave.
44:09All right.
44:09Good luck.
44:10I'm leaving.
44:11I'm a memory.
44:11If you want to stay, you got this, you know, just take my hand
44:15and let's go.
44:17You've been talking.
44:20Because I know you don't mean it that way.
44:22I'm gonna do because I'm your friend.
44:24Okay.
44:25Good luck.
44:25I think I would have been okay.
44:26It's not your last goal.
44:28Yeah, I think you probably would have preferred it.
44:31Take my hand.
44:33All right, bye.
44:33Later.
44:35Bastion Booker.
44:37Okay, I'll be right over there if you need me, but you probably
44:40won't wait.
44:41Why is he going to be right over there?
44:43I thought he's leaving.
44:45No, he's not.
44:46He's not going anywhere.
44:49That's so good, dude.
44:50That's so good.
44:51They're just the comedy between these two.
44:53It's just so good.
44:55He's the master of the 20-30 minute.
44:57Goodbye.
44:58Well, it really is.
44:59Didn't I say goodbye to you at the top of the hour?
45:01Why?
45:02Why are we about to go into our number two of this?
45:04Yeah, you have to wind them down for them to leave.
45:08Yeah, you do.
45:09They have so much going for them.
45:12And speaking of leaving, I'm going to make a big deal because
45:15I'm leaving.
45:15It is a I'm off to celebrate my birthday dinner, but I wanted
45:19to get in some time with you today.
45:21I want you to make a big deal of it as I exit and okay.
45:25Bye Jeff.
45:26I'll catch you later, man.
45:27Okay.
45:27Bye.
45:29I'm out of here.
45:29All right.
45:30Okay.
45:31Bye.
45:32I'm off to my birthday dinner.
45:35Do you want to do an episode two of module memes to continue
45:38this?
45:39I think I think we should but right now I'm leaving.
45:43I mean if you want we can finish this right now.
45:49But I'm leaving brother.
45:50I gotta go though.
45:52But what are they supposed to do?
45:53If they like this episode?
45:56Just leave.
45:58No, they're supposed to like comment subscribe and like comment
46:03subscribe all three.
46:04If you're feeling up to it for Joe.
