00:00Let's start things off, Scotty, by hearing from Coach Tibbs.
00:03As you know, big history between the Knicks and the Pacers.
00:07New York is going nuts.
00:09Thibodeau sees all of it, but we got to stay focused, son.
00:13But I think the important thing for us to understand as a team
00:16is that you have to earn your wins each night.
00:20So we're not going to win because we're home.
00:23We're not going to win because of, you know, what happened previously
00:26or the history.
00:28We have to go out there and earn it with our play.
00:32It starts with your preparation going into the game
00:34to understand how important that is,
00:36and that's where we want the focus to lie.
00:39So, you know, we're proud of the organization, the tradition that we have,
00:44and all the great players that have been here previously,
00:47you know, front office, coaches, everybody, you know, ownership.
00:51And so we have an understanding.
00:53We know what the Knicks mean to the city,
00:55and so there's, I think, a responsibility that goes along with that.
01:00Yeah, and it's, if they lose, the city, the crime will spike.
01:05People, they're already foul mood to begin with.
01:09As always, it's a dangerous, rough, nasty city,
01:13and they'll be even meaner and grosser and more violent than ever.
01:18If they lose, people, like, so it's the Buffalo-Pittsburgh syndrome.
01:22When they lose in the playoffs in football,
01:24those towns go into a complete, full-on depression.
01:28I mean, it is, they're eating Xanax, Xanny bars.
01:32I mean, people, they don't go to work.
01:34Babies aren't born.
01:35Education.
01:36No one goes to class, the whole deal.
01:39In New York, when they lose, people get beaten with baseball bats,
01:45raped, shanked, kidnapped, shot in broad daylight in the head.
01:50I mean, like, I'm not kidding.
01:51Like, you're going to see.
01:53I will go into full-scale depression if they lose the series,
01:57because my problem with it is they got too much work to, you know, cut out.
02:02They got to win eight games, and these are the eight hardest games to win
02:06in basketball, and particularly against a team that's had your number
02:11over the years that you can't deny what the Pacers have been able to do
02:15against the Knicks.
02:16I pray to God the Knicks win, and I'll be watching full-on and losing my mind
02:21and rooting for the Knicks.
02:22I'm completely on the take for the Knicks.
02:25But you know how I feel about the Pacers.
02:28I said the Pacers two months before the playoffs started.
02:32I told you when they were – we were looking at their odds that were so terrible.
02:35What were they, 13-1 or something?
02:37And I was like, that's a team right there you don't want to play in the playoffs
02:40is the Pacers.
02:41They're a playoff-built team.
02:43They're built for one thing, playoff runs.
02:45I'm telling you, they're a problem, and if they lose the Knicks to this team,
02:50I mean, the city, oh, my God.
02:54You think they shoplift now?
02:58What do you see what happens when they lose?
03:00I mean, honestly, people won't even eat.
