00:00After showing promising flashes under Vito Pereira, Wolves approached the off-season with renewed optimism.
00:09A string of improved performances has lifted spirits at Molyneux, with fans now looking ahead with cautious hope.
00:17The question is whether the club can maintain that momentum into the new campaign.
00:23This summer transfer window presents a key opportunity as Wolves must evaluate their current squad,
00:28target the right additions in the transfer market and solidify their long-term vision.
00:34Will they double down on the Pereira project with this current group, or are changes needed to take the next step forward?
00:41With the Premier League only growing more competitive, how Wolves handled the next few months could be decisive in shaping their trajectory,
00:50whether that's pushing further up the table or risking another period of stagnation.
00:54We spoke to Charlie Haffenden of Birmingham Worlds to get a feel for the atmosphere around Molyneux.
01:01The sense is clear, the foundation is there, but it's time for smart decisions on the pitch and in the boardroom.
01:08Charlie, just on Wolves and in terms of Vito Pereira, let's mention his fantastic impact.
01:16I mean, he's been doing the rounds on social media, appearing at plenty of different pubs and locations just mixing with the fans.
01:23I mean, you know, yes, on the surface, that's great.
01:26But also he's managed to translate it to the pitch and get these players really playing well.
01:31I mean, you look at the likes of Andre in midfield, his rise, he looked a bit lost under Gary O'Neill.
01:37He's now one of the, you know, that partnership with Jal Gomez is probably one of the best in the entire division.
01:42Wolves' form and that record of wins that they carry on to break every week, it seems at the moment.
01:49I mean, just on his ability to galvanise this group, because they were so down and out come the end of Gary O'Neill's tenure.
01:57They were heading one direction at Christmas time and then he comes in and he's completely changed the entire landscape of the club.
02:06It's incredible, yeah. That six wins on the trot, I think, just encapsulates the success he's had so far.
02:12Actually, double figures for wins. Gary O'Neill could only get two in 16 games at the start of the season.
02:17It was appalling and offensively terrible as well.
02:21I know that Emmanuel Agpadu wasn't there when Gary O'Neill was, so you can maybe make that argument.
02:27But it's not just one player, it's the entire squad has just looked completely galvanised.
02:33The rise, the confidence, the togetherness within the squad.
02:36I know you've still got Matthias Cunha getting sent off against Bournemouth.
02:39Not ideal, a bit hot-headed.
02:41But in terms of the general squad, the feel, there's a bit less frustration.
02:45The connection with the fans is being built back up again.
02:48I know we had that under O'Neill briefly when he was performing well initially.
02:52I'm hoping that doesn't fall away for Pereira like it did O'Neill, but I don't think it will.
02:56I think he's got, as much as he's a passionate man, Pereira, I think he's a bit more level-headed.
03:01Doesn't overthink things too much and should be able to get Wolves.
03:05Well, he's already got them out of the hole, but try and get them further up the standings as well.
03:08To be above the likes of Man United and Tottenham and West Ham after where they were just in December is incredible, really.
03:15And it's exciting to see where they could go next.
03:17Yeah, just on that, obviously a massive summer.
03:21But then beyond the summer, it's a campaign where you start to think if, you know,
03:26pundits, people doing their Premier League predictions at the start of the season,
03:29if they look at the way Wolves have finished his campaign, you know,
03:32surely top 10 European push has got to be the aim now for Pereira's men.
03:36And yet Wolves fans can't get carried away if they are, you know,
03:39they've got to realise where they've come from in this last couple of seasons.
03:42They've been in a real bit of turmoil.
03:45But, you know, Pereira can take them certainly in one direction and that's up at the moment.
03:51Yeah, I just think you need to be a little bit careful as Wolves fans,
03:54just because of under O'Neill before that Coventry defeat in the FA Cup last season,
03:59it wasn't six wins on the trot, but it was pretty similar form.
04:02Starting to talk about could European football be a possibility?
04:05Then the injury started coming, then things started to fall away.
04:08And then the beginning of the next season was awful.
04:10Don't want to be pessimistic. It sounds incredibly pessimistic.
04:13I don't think it will happen quite like that again.
04:15But to go and get European football would be maybe a little bit too much of a step up,
04:20unless the summer window can go absolutely perfectly,
04:22especially with Matthias Cunha likely to leave for a £62 million release clause.
04:28He's such an important player.
04:29Wolves did show briefly with the suspension that they can deal without him.
04:33But can they deal without him for an entire season?
04:35I'm not too sure, but I could be proved wrong.
04:38I'd be very happy to be proved wrong.
04:39There's just so much competition up there and Cunha leaving will have a big impact.
04:43So good.
04:57I'm putting it back on.
04:58Oh, no.
04:58So far will it stay well.
05:00Let me back on this menu.
05:01You can see the resistance stuff,
05:02and I'm seeing them be perfect.
05:03lawsDIAC.com
05:04But I'm feeling perfect for them.
05:05I'm actually looking at that as i'm doing it.
05:07I'm at that ideal.
05:08I'm excited for them all to become 1955.
05:09I think I can have a third order.
05:10I've been a third year when I was a superstar fight for the rest.
05:11I粗als.
