How bad is the litter problem where you live and what do you think the council can do about it?
Transcript
00:00I don't think that Leeds has a special litter problem. I mean, you do notice it, but I haven't noticed this is worse than any other city.
00:10We've all been to cities like Singapore or some of the top European places where everything is spotless.
00:16Germany, for example. We should follow their lead about what works.
00:20I haven't seen that much litter anywhere, but if there's just bins everywhere, then that's fine.
00:24Just make sure you're putting it in the bin. And then in Hyde Park, pretty bad, but it's a student area, so it's going to be bad anywhere you go.
00:33There's not much litter around. It seems to have all disappeared now.
00:36I mean, back in the 70s, you couldn't, oh, you wouldn't know that, would you?
00:40So walk through the streets without falling over litter, but it seems to have disappeared around where I live.
00:45I used to live in more of a countrified town, and that didn't have a little problem at all.
00:51But I think when you get, obviously, more people, you're going to have more litter.
00:55And I think that the people who are collecting the litter are doing a very good job.
