00:00We're looking at Willie Adamas here, came over from Milwaukee and now part of this Giants team
00:04that are competing in an NL West that should be dominated by the Dodgers, but it's not.
00:12It's not. And Willie Adamas, we said going into this year, was going to struggle a little bit.
00:16Right-handed power in San Francisco is not exactly the best fit, but at the same time,
00:21Willie Adamas is not this bad of a player, and he has been bad this year. I mean, there's no way
00:27to put it. The OBP is a 302. That's never been his game. The sluggings at 363. All those numbers
00:33are not great. But here's the irony is that the problem is actually not at home. At home,
00:39he's hitting 264 with a 762 OPS. It's on the road that he's struggling with a 189 batting average
00:46and a 576 OPS. So this to me is why Willie Adamas is a buy low candidate, because taking in the
00:53negative ballpark factor, I think if you're just looking at it, and I kind of fell into the same
00:57trap, I look at the stats and go, oh, well, there you go. San Francisco is hurting Willie
01:00Adamas. No, it's not. I think it's the burden of the new big contract and trying to be the
01:05guy in a new environment. And I think players adjust to that. Christian Walker is having
01:09a hard time adjusting to that. Willie Adamas is having a hard time adjusting to that. I
01:13think on the second half, he will adjust to it. And the fact that his numbers at home
01:16are not putrid is very encouraging. So I would buy his baseball savant page is not as bright
01:23red as you look at Brian Reynolds. So I think Reynolds is a safer one, but Willie Adamas right
01:29now is absolutely a buy. So I would go out there and make some trade offers for him.
