00:00We always wanted to recreate a pub that has always been in the community's hearts and
00:09keep it a community pub, but obviously with an elevated sense of a more careful, considered
00:16way of how we're producing food and doing food, which comes from our other restaurant,
00:23Empire Cafe and what I'm passionate about as a chef, but keep it as a community boozer
00:34where people can come and have a drink and obviously drink responsibly, but have a good
00:39time with the friends and the family. The response has been amazing. We've got people
00:44from all walks of life, which is exactly what we wanted to do. It was built around trying
00:48to keep it Leeds focused and be about the community in Leeds, coming back to somewhere
00:55and using somewhere that's essentially been used for a hundred years. It was developed
01:02by a brewery in 1925, so it's actually a hundred years to the date roughly that it's been brought
01:11back to life as we think as a community pub. It's really nice to be noticed and mentioned
01:18by the Good Food Guide. We are on a back street in Leeds. We're in a tiny sort of hyper new
01:26location with amazing tall student accommodation all around us and we've got a sort of 1800s
01:35old terrace house as a pub just sat here in the middle of it all. So it's quite nice really that
01:41we're having that sort of national recognition as well.
