00:00About to be year number three for Anthony Richardson in his NFL career.

00:03Of course, very short rookie campaign, only playing in four games,

00:07a shoulder injury that sidelined him the remainder of his rookie season.

00:11Last year, got back, dealt with a few injuries,

00:14but there was hope and promise for AR that was never actualized.

00:19It was awful in terms of efficiency and accuracy.

00:23It was the number one thing, holding back any bit of his draft stock

00:27out of Florida where he had a career or he had a completion percentage

00:30in his final year with the Gators at 53.8% his loan year

00:35as a full-time starting quarterback collegiately.

00:37In those issues, DRS have carried over to the NFL.

00:40So this offseason, Indianapolis signs Daniel Jones, I believe,

00:45on a one-year $14 million deal.

00:48Something in excess of double digits in terms of $1 million.

00:53And they draft Riley Leonard, the quarterback, out of Notre Dame via Duke.

00:57In the late portions of the NFL draft.

01:03the week one starting quarterback odds for the Colts.

01:07Anthony Richardson, filling odds on favorite at minus 265.

01:10Danny Dimes, second-best price.

01:13We throw in Riley Leonard as well at 35-1.

01:17Ultimately, DRS, week number one, early September in Indianapolis.

01:21Who gets the nod in year number three?

01:23It's so simple.

01:24Well, that minus 265 price should be minus 660.

01:26Barring injury, he will be the starting quarterback opening day.

01:29But there also should be another poll out there.

01:30How many weeks does he actually be the starter?

01:32Two and a half weeks, three and a half weeks?

01:34Because you just don't miraculously get better this season

01:36when the spotlight is on you when you had every opportunity in the past.

01:40Whether it's injury, not being professional.

01:42For some reason, he just can't stay on the football field.

01:44And when he does, you see the electric parts of him.

01:46You see the deep ball that can be so pretty at times.

01:49And then you see the six-yard out route that he can't complete a pass towards an interception

01:52or just doesn't throw the football to the right player.

01:54Those are the issues that you run into.

01:56He has all the talent to wear out.

01:57If you could go into a laboratory and say, give me the perfect quarterback.

02:01Strength, size, conditioning, and arm strength.

02:03It is Anthony Richardson.

02:04But he just hasn't put it together here.

02:06And the question is, does he want to put it together?

02:08Now, if you start the season with Daniel Jones or Riley Leonard, that white flag is up.

02:12I'm not saying the coach is going to have a sensational year regardless of any quarterback they put in.

02:17But you're crazy to think that Anthony Richardson is just not going to be gifted that quarterback number one spot,

02:22at least for the month of September.

02:23He will be there.

02:24They have no other choice but to do that.

02:26You can't have Daniel Jones.

02:27There's no passion from the fan base.

02:29You're not going anywhere with your season or in a rookie quarterback at that point right now.

02:33That wasn't even a pedigree quarterback drafted in the top 15.

02:35It's going to be Anthony Richardson.

02:37And they are praying that he somehow miraculously can complete 65-plus percent of his passes.

02:41That's not going to work.

02:42But he will be the starter in September.
