00:20Izzah had proven her mettle, having been part of PKR's struggle since the age of 18. The two-term

00:26PKR MPs said it was an important position and that Nurul Izzah deserves to helm the post.

00:32Hasan welcomed contests for the post in the central leadership elections,

00:36saying it would allow delegates to decide who they wanted to serve as Anwar's second-in-command in PKR.

00:43In 2023, Hasan had urged Anwar, the Prime Minister, to review Nurul Izzah's appointment as his senior

00:49economic and financial advisor amid claims of nepotism. After several weeks, she left the

00:55post and was instead made co-head of the Secretariat for the Advisory Committee to the Finance Ministry.
